July 20, 201411 yr I have been enjoying the new Carenado CT206H. I have tried flying a few RNAV approaches with the new GPS and it works fine except I can't seem to get it to do vertical guidance. I haven't flown too many RNAV approaches before and don't really know if it's possible to do with this GPS. I see that there are options to set vnav altitude data but I was under the impression that was sort of a way to help calculate descent rates. I have also tried activating appr on the AP while at the IAF and the IF but I still don't seem to get any vnav help. It's not a huge deal I was just curious. The approach I tried was at KRIC (EPICS RNAV (GPS) RNWY 16) --Jon Why is it that right after I post something, I THEN find the answer? I have been googling this for two days! lol....Oh well, maybe this will help someone else too. http://developer.x-plane.com/2014/03/new-approach-capable-gps-navigator-in-x-plane-10-30/#comment-8508 Pilots: Looking down on people since 1903.
