March 20, 200521 yr I am fixing up FS9 in a new PC and so far, so good. Everything works great including my GoFlight stuff. However, I have surges of thrust and speed using the autothrottle in the default jets and a 3rd party add-on panel for the 747-400 that I cannot seem to fix. The surging occurs at lower holding altitudes and on approach to landing. The N1 ranges from 40% to 60% during this period and the speed oscillates by around + or - 2 knots, i.e. a 4 knot range. On my older P4 PC, IAS and N1 are gloriously stable in such situations, using the same hardware and GoFlight set-up.Can anybody tell me how I might be able to fix this thrust surge? Is it a hardware conflict or is it something that might be caused by cfg files, a panel file, or whatever? I have five USB sockets in a hub for the GF equipment and use a MS FFB2 stick on a hi-speed USB port on the PC.Appreciate any tips, thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
