August 13, 201411 yr Hi Folks, Most of the add-on aircraft I have come with lots of variations. I know that by selecting 'Show all variations' I can view all - but it becomes very cluttered. Without selecting 'Show all variations', I simply get one of each type displayed. I am more than happy with that but would like to be able to pick which variation is shown as that single example. I cannot work out how to do that and would welcome any help. Thank you. Ian
August 13, 201411 yr Ian, The variation of the aircraft shown is the one that is designated as [fltsim.0]. So if you're wanting to change the Boeing 747-400 variation to your particular preference, then go into that aircraft cfg file and change the first line to [fltsim.0]. Remember to then allocate the original number to the other aircraft, so that you don't have duplicate numbers. You don't have to change anything else in the cfg file, i.e. in regards to the position of the aircraft details, textures, etc. You're only telling FSX to use that aircraft as the default one. Chris
August 13, 201411 yr Author Thank you. Tried that but it does not work for me. :-( The Argosy model is showing [fltsim.17] as the default!
August 14, 201411 yr I assume that with your example of the Argosy aircraft, you have several variations, of which it seems that the one at [fltsim.17] appears as the default one. Also assumed, that you want to see another Argosy aircraft instead of the present one. If so, have you tried to interchange the number 17 with the variation that you want to see as default? Chris
August 14, 201411 yr Administrators Like it was suggested "elsewhere" choose the one you want to show in the select aircraft page and label it [fltsim.0] Re-label all the other liveries [fltsim.XX] because you want to keep them available but not shown.
