August 14, 201411 yr I recently acquired another computer to run as a client for my FSX. And I caught a video of Froogle's about networking 2 computers. Might have been a mistake. He insisted that each computer needed what seemed to be 3 different versions of Simconnect in order to work with everything properly (along with the SDK tricks which I had already performed in the past). And so I installed each of the Simconnects as instructed. Still haven't gotten around to networking the two machines, but now I am getting some very weird things happening on my FSX, mostly having to do with EZCA, FSUIPC, and my Saitek X52 controller. After trying to fix it all, I decided that it all started happening after adding all of those Simconnects, and now I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. Doing a system restore might work, but I'm not sure of that yet. Any ideas on which version of Simconnect I need, and how to remove those that I don't? This really sucks, and if I have to do a full re-install of FSX, I'm gonna puke! -= Gary Barth =-
August 17, 201411 yr You should have NOT installed anything on your FSX computer only on the client computer. Not sure what to tell you to fix this.
August 23, 201411 yr Author Jim, I did a system restore that seems to have fixed everything. Had to go back and install a few things, but I hope it keeps working this time. I was following Froogle's video on getting the networking to function properly, and went a bit too far too fast. -= Gary Barth =-
