August 15, 201411 yr Sounds like you in DX10 preview ? if you are you need the freeware DX10 tools from the lib. If you are using DX9, I have not heard of the blue background happening in this mode. You may need to reset your fsx.cfg by deleting it. August 15, 201411 yr Ok sounds like the tools are not installed correctly. There is a bkg.bmp file that needs to go into the root dir of FSX.
