Solar Impulse II - RTW flight using only solar power

If you have 20 mins spare, take a look at this TED video, with Bertrand Piccard.   This guy is a real hero.  Of aviation but also of the pioneering spirit.

Solar Impulse II recently had it's first test flights earlier this year.   It flies using solar power (which power electric motors but also charge some batteries that then power the plane at night, when there's no sunlight). It will soon attempt a 'unfuelled' RTW flight.
