April 15, 200521 yr Hi All,Just updated my FSD Cheyenne, and for some reason the config program thinks that I have the JL2 gauges installed, and the box to remove them is greyed out, thus I have no ADI or HSI.Could someone send me the "base" panel.cfg file, without any RXP or addon avionics?CheersDan.
April 15, 200521 yr Here you go :)The file got a strange name. Rename (oh, but you knew that, right?)Vc looks great, but unfortunately it's still slow when it comes to refresh rate :(It's a pity becase othervise this is a great addon.Eagle
April 16, 200521 yr Many thanks for that, appreciate it.As for the VC, its a lovely place to sit, but due to the fact the VC has 11 sections in the cfg file, its always going to be slow to refresh, if you could reduce the sections by chopping out some stuff that isnt particularly needed it would speed up the refresh.Dan.
April 16, 200521 yr Yes unfortunately it's the "ghost panels" in the VC that influence the refresh rate. The more there are, the slower the gauge refresh. If only designers would make more of an effort to condense VC's then we would have smoother VC gauges. RealAir have developed a new technique for total gauge smoothness which is incorporated in the Spitfire and the soon to be available SF260 update. But that technique a trade secret!I flew the new Cheyenne last night for the first time and I must say it flies suberbly. A credit to the work of Steve Small. The engine sound I like a lot too. I would have liked a couple of more repaints but never mind.CheersTim http://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair1.gif
April 16, 200521 yr Hi Dan,There is a folder named "DATA" in your Cheyenne folder. It contains a file which is called Loadout.cfg and which is used by the Load Manager to create your "panel.cfg" file. You can copy parts you are looking for and paste them in your "panel.cfg" file. In order to avoid mistakes, each section begins by a title describing its content.Hope this helps.Kind regards,Vincent Mellinger
