Lost of Keyboard Commands

Featured Replies

I have lost most/all of my FS9 keyboard command capabilities. Commands like the W, S, ~, P, Shft-Z, ESC, etc no longer function. I can still have all of my joystick capabilities, so it appears that my problem only effects the keyboard. The problem is limited to only FS9 and it appears that the problem effects all of my aircraft. What steps do I need to take to restore the FS9 keyboard commands?ThanksTom

Easiest thing to try--rename your fs9.cfg to fs9.old. FS9 will build a new one with all the default settings, including those for the keyboard. If this doesn't work, you can always restore your fs9.old as fs9.cfg. If it does, you can paste any tweaked settings from fs9.old into your fs9.cfg-John

John,Thanks for your help. What I did was to find the fs9.cfg file that the system builds when you update the game i.e. add some form of an enchancement. I copied for the system backup file and overwrote the master file. Everything, at this time, appears to be working as expected. Thanks again for your help.Tom

That works too--very good idea actually if you've applied the 9.1 upgrade since the upgrade backs up the file. Glad I could help!-John
