May 4, 200521 yr Does anybody know if there is a way I can combine my 4 install cds. And then burn them onto a dvd so I dont have to swap next time I install flight sim again.
May 4, 200521 yr Don't think so. You could use something like Alcohol 120% to create four "images" of the CD's and mount them one by one but that would take longer than swapping CD's :-)Looks like DVD's are finally "taking off" though - Megascenery, FSGlobal and VFR Photographic USA are all DVD-only now. Hopefully FS10 will come on DVD. -
May 5, 200521 yr Not that complicated! I did this a little while back and it works. Here is what you gotta do:In a drive where you have enough space (about 3GB), make a folder called "FS9_DVD"Then, insert disc 1 first and copy all of it's contents to FS9_DVD folder. Then do the same with all the rest of the discs, clicking yes to overwrite every time. Then open Nero (or whatever you use) and select all the contents of the FS9_DVD folder to put on the DVD, naming the DVD FS9_DVD.Voila!!!There is enough space to place the 9.1 patch and the 9.1 no-cd patch on the disc too, just make a folder called "PATCH" in the FS9_DVD folder and include it in the burn job.Works for me! Good luck!!!!
