November 21, 201411 yr Hi Just curious.. On the front page it says "CDU button syncing is provided via the included Desk pilot CDU gauge". What exactly does that mean (if there is no FMS syncing available) ? Will both pilots be able to use a single CDU through CDU "gauge" ?
November 22, 201411 yr Well that had to be stated that way to prevent any confusion about how Desk Pilot accesses PMDG's aircraft. The "FMS" of their aircraft is not synced or accessed by Desk Pilot at all, since their sdk does not allow such access and there is no legal means of accessing it. Therefore it's not synced or ever will be. FMS = Flight Management System is pretty much the brains of the aircraft. CDU = Control Display Unit are those devices with the alphabet and line buttons on it. Yes both pilots can use the CDU's. Michael Harders
December 12, 201411 yr Then who's FMS are we controlling here ? and how will it sync with the client server ?
December 15, 201411 yr It works like the following: DP CDU Panel > Aircraft CDU > Server < Client Or DP CDU Panel > Aircraft CDU > Client < Server There will be some demonstrations prior to release which will clear up any confusion. Michael Harders
