Adding Rnwy Markings With AFCAD 221

Featured Replies

Many attempts to add runway markings for KNOW (Port Angeles CGAS) have failed. Regardless of where I save the changes, FS9 reverts to the stock runway. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,1. Is this an addon airport? If they used the "old" way of making runways, then AFCAD cannot change that.2. If a default airport, go to the main startup page of FS (press Esc/End Flight if flying) and go to Settings/Scenery Library. Check that the Addon Scenery layer is checked (assuming you saved your edited AFCAD to the default location). If not checked , check it, press OK and restart FS.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Tom Thanks for the prompt responseRe Item 1 - KNOW is a default airport.Re Item 2 - Addon scenery is active in the scenery library. No change - will keep trying.

The AF2-KNOW .bgl is in the ADD0N SCENERY FILE. No change. Beginning to suspect the non default runway textures. Would this block the addition of runway markings? Thanks

Hi,If they are textures ONLY, then no, this would not block anything. If they are created in a bgl file (in a scenery folder) then they would block any AFCAD changes.Do you have any duplicate AFCAD files for KNOW in an active scenery folder (especially above the Addon Scenery layer)? If so, it will take precedence over yours. Open KNOW in AFCAD and see how many airport versions are listed below.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Success! I now have rnwy markings at KNOW. As you suggested there may have been a duplicate .bgl elsewhere. Thanks for your patience.
