November 26, 201411 yr I've got my system tuned with water set to low 2.x. I'd like to explore moving it up to mid to get the clouds reflected but before doing it I'm trying to find out if water settings stress the cpu or the gpu. My 780 has plenty of gpu usage headroom even in dense ORBX regions with 2048 clouds but my other settings are pushing my 4790K @ 4.4 to the max in dense city/urban areas in the ORBX regions and even those same kinds of areas (KLAX, New York city, etc.) in Global + Vector especially when using 3rd party planes like the NGX. edit: in case it matters, I'm running in DX10 mode with the fixer.
