My 1st uploaded file to the library

Featured Replies

Seems like I've been getting some downloads on my file and was just looking for any input on what those user might think. As far as ease of understanding, installing, and the end results. The file is 9k_dv_is_ai_new_england_pkg.zip and I spent alot of time figuring out how to make the ai flight plans match the real airlines schedule. The end results is very nice and I was just looking for feedback if I made the package so others can use it and easy enough to put into there sim.Kilstorm

Ordinarily, you'll wait a long time before receiving any feedback after uploading anything, unless someone experiences some problems. Your product has to be quite exceptional and of wide interest to draw a crowd.....it's just the general nature of those who choose to access the library. Once in a while, you may get a pat on the back from someone who truly appreciates your time and effort, but these are rare. So, it would appear that since you haven't heard from any user, it would seem safe to assume your files function as advertised.

All too true, I'm afraid. You might also want to consider what type of add-on it is. Planes and such get exercised immediately; other types, like scenery files, only the people who are basing themselves out of that area or flying into that area are likely to see the difference right away. If I DLed your file and installed it, it might be several weeks before I got a chance to actually look at it. The worl' is a biiigg place! :D

My files have been downloaded over 17,000 times on the various FS websites, and I've only recieved three emails. One of the emails came from somebody I already knew :-lol.I've received an email from 0.019% of the downloaders!!! :-eek

It's just like working in the IT department, you only hear something when it messes up. Thanks for your work on the plans, I am wondering how they would fit in with the cape air plans from continental express at mrai's website? Would they duplicate them?

I went to the mrai's site and couldn't find the plans for a cape air or continental express. I know that cape air does fly an ATR with the COEX livery as part of their buddy deal in guam so maybe that how it fits in.I dont think their file would duplicate mine just in the way that I did it. I've tried many differnet FP for this airline and the one I did works tthe best. I worked for Cape AIr for 2 years and handled ops for them as well so I know first hand about the flights, alt where they park at each airport etc. The big thing was keeping the planes going without sitting to long at one place. I also included AFCAD files with the correct parking and enough at the fleet center in KHYA so they can all return to base at night.Kilstorm

The mrai summer plans for continental connection have an ATR and a c402 for cape air in them. I am using these but will happily add yours if they don't overlap.

I took a look at it and your all set. The Continental Connection file that has the cape air 402 reads like this. It does the guam flights and Florida flights but does have a flaw. First the aircraft file reads of an AI airspeed of 260k which is about 100 knots above what a 402 is to do o I'm thinking its for the ATR and the second thing is that the ATR doesn't service Fla. So it seems there should be no problem with conflict to that file.Kilstorm
