May 6, 200521 yr When doing an approach with the Trident 3 in VC I lock the altitude as instructed. (using 2000 feet 9 miles out before Loc intercept)But I never see or get any GS line across the HSI as illustrated in their manual... I have that little trigger switch set vertical and the knob set to GLIDE. I do get to catch the localiser but not the GS. Tried different runways.any ideas?allen
May 9, 200521 yr The "trigger switch" should be set at 3 oclock, if you mean the one on the HSI.CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair1.gif
May 9, 200521 yr I think that is incorrect. The trigger should be set to 3 o'clock when sensing the heading but at 12'oclock when sensing for nav information like the loc. If the trigger is left at 3 o'clock, it will not turn to the loc.Raymond keattch
May 9, 200521 yr Hi. On the autopilot in the CalClassic DC-6 there is a switch you need to 'click' to lock on to the localiser and then click round again when the glide slope becomes active, so maybe there is something a bit similar in the Trident?Andy.

The original post said he had set it to 12 oclock.Timhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair1.gif
