Seeking beta-testers for FS/UD-Agent coexistense tool

Featured Replies

Hi there,If you are a member of Team AVSIM running the United Devices agent to help finding a cure for cancer, and are using flight simulator, you may be interested in this. The UD agent can be run in the background instead of running it as a screen saver only. I use this on my machine and it does not cause any trouble to most other programs. However, it has some impact on Flight Simulator and also on my PC DVD player program. For a while I simply snoozed the agent for the maximum of 120 mins before each flight and this let me run FS without any impact on frame rate or fluid motion. At some time even the 'snoozing' agent started to impact fluid motion in FS and playing DVDs stuttered. Also, I often forgot to 'unsnooze' the agent and so wasted time.To make life easier and make FS and the DVD player run smoothly again and still give the UD agent as much processing time as possible, I created a small program that senses when FS or the DVD player are running and then suspends (freezes) the UD agent for that time (see screen shot below). Now, as there is a slight potential that this may cause problems, before uploading it and causing a flood of support requests, I would like to have a few FS/UD-Agent users beta test this. I would want to know whether any abnormalities or severe problems are observed while using the program. I have used it for a while now, but this is not sufficient to release it yet.If anyone is interested in beta testing this, please let me know via a private message/e-mail through the forum. The program will be a freebie of course.Dear admins, if I posted this to the wrong forum, please move it. I thought it's best here as it is releated to Flight Simulator use.Regards,Siggy
