slxserver not connected

Featured Replies

I'm trying to install Simlauncher with a green light go but a red light 'not connected' in sllxserver.

IP Address is correct and I'm using the default port 1100.

The client claims no access to fsx.exe in shared folder and won't work.

I'm concerned that without a network guru I maybe up creek without a paddle and don't want to spend days to portage my PC canoe cross land to find that illusive new stream.

I guess the closest alternative is FSXLive.com

Hi Douglas,

Please read chapters 3 and 14 of the user guide carefully. The IP-address you need to enter both in the simulator settings of SLX on the client and in SlxServer on the server is the IP-address of the server. There's two port numbers you need to enter on the client: one for SimConnect and one for SlxServer (default is 11000 not 1100 btw). Make sure you have shared all the folders mentioned in step 4 of par. 3.1 of the user guide. Also make sure you have a correctly configured SimConnect.xml file in the %AppData%\Microsoft\FSX folder.

If it still doesn't work, please send me the [Documents]\SimLauncherX\SimLauncherX.log file from the client and the [Documents]\SimLauncherX\SlxServer.log file + the %AppData%\Microsoft\FSX\SimConnect.xml file from the server. You can find my e-mail address in the user guide.

thanks, Maarten
