December 22, 201411 yr Hi there, I just downloaded Linda version 2.5.5 overriding version 1.13 into the module in FSX and followed the instructions and after computer reboot I inserted all the usb from saitek into the computer and they are all confirmed on Linda[setup joysticks] page. The Summary page also confirmed [Everything is ok!]. On the [setup MCP Combo] also confirming [found, ok] On Setup LINDA page, when I try to put a tick on [Associate with .lua] message pop up saying [failed to set data for"] Now I start FSX and [LINDA Console] pop up with four messages saying. 1.) VRI MCP is ENABLED but not found on port com3 2.) VRI port 1 com1 failed to open 3.) VRI port 2 com3 failed to open 4.)[E] LUA,0: ERROR could not open MCP Combo port. I have windows 8 64 bits and I tried to search what com1 or com2 etc. with no success, because I dont know where to look. I also downloaded VRI and SerialFP2 software in the hope it will detect what [com] I have but it could not detect. I have deleted all the assignment of saitek Throttle, yoke, Rudder and etc. in the standard XML Document. Your help will be so much appreciated and thank you in advance. Regards Taufik

December 23, 201411 yr Author Hi Scot, Thank you for your reply, about the standard XML I followed what you said in your forum to disconnect all usb reboot the computer and then put the usb one at a time plus you were mentioning to delete the saitek from the Standard XML, which I did. Is that will enfluance or making any problem there and I gorget to back it up is my fault. How can I bring the Standard XML back the way it was any idea. Now I found the ports in device manager under Human interface Devises then right click on each usb Device and discover that each usb Device in property has get diefferent port and Hub, so my Question is which port number, they are about 7 or 8 different ports there. Can you please give me some feed back. I have new problem now when I fire linda message pop up [Range check error] [Access violation at address 00545B9F in module LINDA exe. Read of address 00000278]. Can you tell me how to fix this.I will not give up ofcourse with your help and support until I get everything smoothly running. Merry Christmas and Happy new Year Scot Taufik
December 23, 201411 yr Hi Taufik The Standard.xml is generated by FSX through the Options/Settings/Controls. You can click Reset Defaults to get back to a start position. Your MCP panel should appear in Device Manager (on my English version) under Ports (COM & LPT) as USB Serial Port (COMx). It is the Com X number that you need for LINDA to connect to the MCP. If you right-click it shows the manufacturer as FTDI with the latest drivers (that I have installed) dated 26/08/2014 version 2.12.0.0. Under the Details tab the Hardware ID should read FTDIBUS/COMPORT&VID_0403&PID_6001. The entries for Human Interface Devices lists your connected HID devices (ie. joysticks) and there can be several entries for each one. For example, my Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant has 2 entries: HID and USB. One question. Which version of FSUIPC4 do you have installed and is it the fully paid version? What where you doing with the Range Check Error occurred? A snapshot of your LINDA Console panel output would help. I hope this helps you get you up and running.
