Greetngs, After a year or so of no problems I had to reinstall due to planes jumping everywhere. After Complete re-install and a week ot two of no issues, I have another issue. After selecting any plane and going into flight planner, fs9 locks up. I will be able to select both departure and arrival click on IFR and VOR etc.. but as soon as i click get route it locks up. If i am lucky and get the route, the map on the route page is not correct and fs9 locks up.I have removed all 3rd party mesh and airports etc, renamed fs9.cfg but no helpPlease any help or directionPaxBrad

Addition to the above issue, it gets better. If I create a flight going east it is fine, If i head west then flight planner locks up.To all the clowns yes I know just fly east thenPaxBrad

I recall people saying that there is something wrong with that in FS. Maybe a fix,I created a flight dtw to atl and in the map view I unselected everything so now the map is white with only the state boarders showing. I exited and created a flight from KMSO to KSEA and no lock-upCould this be a video issue, or something else?PaxBrad

Question, When using flight planner and you select a city other than KSEA for departure, lets say KDTW. Does the plane on the Flight planner map move to KDTW? Right now when I create IFR VOR flight from KDTW to KATL and select get route, no plane icon appears in over KDTW, the map has changed to the right area, but no plane. PaxBrad

If you say no, then in your example you would stay in Seattle. R-

Try using the flight planner from windowed mode (not full screen). Things like the flight planner and kneeboard have given my system problems when accessed from full screen mode.Alt-Enter will toggle between full screen and window mode.-Jim

Jim,Thanks but no go. I have even tried in safe mode. I cant understand, what could be causing this....When I can get a flight to load from the flight planner screen, the fs9 will freeze sometime into the flight.PaxBrad

Solved!!!!!After a complete removal and clean boot, I re-installed FS9 again and one by one added my add-ons. After each install i would create a flight from KMSO to KSEA and everytime it worked. Until, I installed USA Waters by Raimondo Taburet. GREAT PRODUCTS!!! But on this product you run 3 installers that will create empty .bgls within 3 seperate foldres NAMC, NAME, NAMW. These files replaced the ones that are there by default. Then the setup for the replacement waters would install. After this install i ran FS9 and "get route" FS9 locks up. On Raimondo's forum somebody else had the same issue in the Pacific NW, response was to delete the "empty" .bgl's. I did and the issue is gone...... Hours and Hours later.........
