Use Simstarter with FPS_limiter.exe

Featured Replies

Hi Peter,

i am interested in using SimStarter. The only problem I have is that I want to use FPS_Limiter.exe (http://www.venetubo.com/fsx/FPS_Limiter_0.2.rar) to limit my FPS externaly. SimStarter does not allow to use another exe file than fsx.exe or the P3D executable. It would be nice if there would be an extra option to include this pice of software and to allow to start it with different command line options. FPS_Limiter will be startet via an batch file i.g. like this:

start C:\"FSX\limiter\"FPS_Limiter.exe /r:D3D9 /f:30 /x:OFF /l:OFF "C:\FSX\fsx.exe

What do you think about this?

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

I am not 100% sure but isn't it possible to add

"C:\FSX\limiter\FPS_Limiter.exe"

as a new program and use

/r:D3D9 /f:30 /x:OFF /l:OFF C:\FSX\fsx.exe

as a parameter?

You need to add this program first and then delete the fsx.exe line. SIMstarter will add fsx.exe if no other program is included in a StartSet.

Could you please check it?

You wouldn't need "start" because this is a command for batch-file.

Hi Peter,

it works well that way! Thank you so much for that fine piece of freeware.

Greetings

Sebastian
