P3D V2.4 Bathymetry - more realistic wave heights

P3D offers a Bathymetry setting here:

Other than allowing for under water exploration, it also reduces wave heights based on ocean depth so you don't get huge ocean swells happening in shallow waters.  Here is a quick video demonstrating the affect of Bathymetry setting on the wave heights in shallow waters. 

 

 

LM provide Bathymetry data for US East/West coast and Hawaii (this was actually available in P3D v1.x series).  The Bathymetry data isn't perfect, sometimes  you may see a spike or two because of data errors from the source ... but I think it would be a very nice features for 3rd party to explore more (especially for inland water bodies).  I haven't noticed any FPS hit with this setting enabled and there doesn't appear to be any significant change in VAS usage.
