Saitek Instrument Panel not responding to Steam Edition...

All of my other Saitek panels are working in Steam Edition, just not the Instrument Panels.  I tried copying the exe.xml from C:/Users/(your name)/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX  over to  C:/Users/(your name)/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX-SE.  This gets FSX-SE to ask me if I want to run directoutput at startup to feed the panels. I click yes.. in FSX the panels immediately respond and display instruments. In FSX-SE I am getting no such response. Any ideas?
