Stock FSX c172 no virtual cockpit view after "dragging it over" to Prepar3d

I simply dragged the c172 folder over from my FSX installation into Prepar3d 2.5.12942.0 .  When I went to copy over the Cessna172.dll from the "gauges" folder I noticed there were already these Cessna files in Prepar3d. I can load the plane in Prepar3d but when I go to change the view to Virtual Cockpit,  the selection is greyed out.  I am hoping someone can tell me how to get it working.  Thanks!

Got it working.  Found the answer in another thread.  Had to modify a line in the model.cfg.  The other thread was not detailed so here is some additional info.

In your Prepar3d folder go to SimObjects\Airplanes\C172... open the model.cfg file for editing in notepad...

There is a line...

interior=

modify this line to...

interior=cessna172sp_interior
