1. When flying above clouds how can you make them not be see through? Just as white as cotton and nothing else?2. At night time when flying the sim is not completely 'dark' as night flying I have experienced in the real world. How can i rectify this?Danielwww.danielmcaloon.tk

2. At night time when flying the sim is not completely 'dark' as night flying I have experienced in the real world. How can i rectify this?I just turn the monitor brightness down...IE: in the day, I keep the brightness at "65"..At night, I'll roll it down to "50-55", and that makes it about perfect. MK

"2. At night time when flying the sim is not completely 'dark' as night flying I have experienced in the real world. How can i rectify this?"Also, FS9 loads different nightime environments based on the date, to better simulate the various lighting conditions you may run into at night. Try rotating dates in the sim, and you'll find some nights which are inky black and a real challenge to fly in. -John

are you flying with real weather or do you make your own?if you fly with real weather there isnt much you can do, but if you make your own try loading a thick layer of Stratus clouds, maybe a few layers and it should give the look you want.for #2, you'd need to turn down the gama on your monitor or buy/download a dark sky texture.

Thanks Bob for your help.Danielwww.danielmcaloon.tk

>Daniel,>>For your first question this program will help fix this>problem: http://www.hifisim.com/>>The second question can be greatly helped with this program:>http://fsw.simflight.com/fsw2004.html>>Also do a search in the AVSIM File Libray on "night" for FS9>>Hope these help you.>>BobYes the weather radar add on would be my cup of tea. I saw a thread which said it could??Daniel

>OK.>>And what about FE, can that make it darker? I saw a thread>which said it could??>>Danielokay, FE does have a dark sky option, you can pick it anytime you want it and you can use it with real weather.....you can also pick darker clouds so they arent as bright as others

Hi Daniel,Active Radar does involve a bit of processing power. However, there are settings to keep this at a minimum. You may want to hold off for a few, as our new program, ASV is going to be released.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
