shadows issue

I just purchased the S550 Citation II and I love the model. The only issue I had after downloading it is where the aircraft casts shadows on the ground. There are weird 3D brown spikes coming out of the aircraft and only on the outside view. The internal views looking out were okay. I had to correct this by turning off the "Aircraft casts shadows on the ground" feature. I looked for updates but could not find any  for this issue.

I do have my graphics set for 4096 textures and I am using acceleration. 

Any thoughts would be helpful
