June 12, 200520 yr Has anyone tried the GeeBee from Pureflight Simulations that I keep seeing advertised here? I would be interested to have any commecnts. Thinking of buying it.Andrew
June 12, 200520 yr Hi Andrew - let's give this one a nudge. I, too have been curious about this. Little info to be found other than the web site. No reviews that I know of. I guess if it's anything like the real plane, purchasers may not have survived the first flight!Could it be that this pint racer may be just the ticket for a certain cross continent race? Hmm ... you know it would be fun to find out!Lets see if we can get some feedback. All the bestJay "... speed ... is the only reason for flying." - Clyde V. Cessna
June 12, 200520 yr Decided to go ahead with this PM. OK to look at but haven't flewn it yet. Got carried away with the Beaver in Alaska. So far all I can say is where is the documentation? Nothing on the kneeboard and not even a PDF to read. The few pages of screenshots are no help at all, basically they tell you it goes fast and have arrows pointing at the gauges saying "this is manifold" "this is starter" "this is the brake", like I couldn't see that anyway!!!!Let's hope it flys better than the documentation reads.I would however highly recommend the GeeBee that is free here on AVSIM. Good fun to fly and a good range (I am looking for a GeeBee to fly on the MacRobertson Air Race).I will let you know how it flies in a few days. Maybe I should review and compare it against the Freebee Geebee :-)Andrewhttp://www.gordiusfs.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
