Hello, 

is it possible in SBuilderX to make a photo scenery from a custom selection like this?

No, I don't think so. You would need to make a rectangular selection along true N-S and E-W grid, then use a blend mask to control what parts of the photo appears in the sim.

 

A GIS tool such as QGIS can clip a raster using a polygon shapefile, if you really wanted to clip the photo like in the picture.
