LINDA is not communicating with FSX

Featured Replies

Hello there,

Im building a 737NG cockpit inside my room that based on Leo Bodnar's BU0836X cards (4 of them) that should connect to the sim via LINDA and FSUIPC.

now, iv finished to build the overhead panel with all the wirring and everything is connected to where it should be,

I have LINDA 2.6.3 and FSUIPC 4.939(paid) which are the latest versions ob both of the softwares.

LINDA is configurate perfect, 'everything is ok !' is shown in green at all three section and every time I flip a switch at the overhead panel it's reflected inside LINDA but, and there is a big one, when i open FSX and loading a flight (doesnt matter which aircraft that is but mostly tested with the ngx abviously) nothing happens inside the sim!

I had tried anything from uninstalling both LINDA and FSUIPC and change versions and searched at the web many many times for an answer and i came out with nothing..

I opened the LINDA log and it's writting an error at the bottom that i couldnt find the answer for that

Hi OfirLavi

Sorry to here about your problem.  The first thing I have spotted is that you have an unrecognised library file - modules/linda/libs/._lib-fallback.  There is a lib-fallback.lua file (but no ._lib-fallback.lua) which contains the actions for the FSX Default aircraft.

When you did a reinstall of LINDA 2.6.3 did you BACKUP and completely delete the /modules/linda and /modules/linda-cfg folders?  Once installed you can copy back your /aircrafts folders in these 2 folders.

I did complletly delteted all of the file in the modules folder but didnt made any backup of them..

but the thing is that the connection problem that im having(between FSX and LINDA) appeared before I had uninstalled and reinstalled LINDA

  • Author

another thing that i didnt mantioned is that my computer is diconnected from any network at all due to a dammged network cable yet to be fixed.... coulde this be the couse of the problem?

Hi OfirLavi

Neither the boxed FSX nor LINDA require a network connection to operate.

There are an usual number of VRI entries (9 in total using COM3) in the log you posted. Do you have a VRInsight MCP panel in your set up?  I would edit FSUIPC4.ini and search for the [VRINSIGHT] entry and delete these lines.  If you are using an MCP you can use LINDA MCP Setup to reapply them.

Hey scot, thnak you very much for the quick responses!

So i deleted those files about VRI but still no response inside the flight sim to the swwitches I had assigned inside LINDA.. it may be an authorization problem of LINDA with FSX ?

and still in my LINDA console im getting this line:

[E] *** LUA error:....oft flight simulator x/modules/linda/ system/init.lua: 41  module 'linda/libs/._lib-fallback' not found'

any idea ? iv tried everything...

may be the problem im having is happannig due to the fact that fsx is at 'program files x86'??

i had not mantioned before but im using win7 64 bit and an  ordinar FSX
