I am trying to get to fs9.cfg but cant remember for my life how to show hidden folders again.any help appreciated,Thanks

From the Start Menu>Control Panel>Folder Options>View then click Show hidden files and folders.

And once you find the config file, create a shortcut to it in an accessible place--and you won't have to worry any more about finding it if you need access.-John

Another handy tip is to use the environment variable '%userprofile%'. For example, type it into the Start | Run dialog box and Windows will take you to the root folder for all that hidden stuff. Then you can click through to MicrosoftFS9.
