Install error "can not find the file exe.xml"

Featured Replies

Hi,

sorry for my english.

I bought yesterday the Carenado Citation II with the FMS Expansion pack.

I state that I P3D 2.5 and I do not have FSX

During installation of the citation and marked correctly on P3D 2.0, at one point it gave me an error it can not find the file exe.xml in in the path:

C:/users/appdata/roaming/microsoft games/FSX

the installation is blocked and pressing the X to close the window installation continued, however, the plane seems to work regularly, it's that normal?

what  writes it in the exe.xml? maybe I can manually enter?

thank you

may be this thread in simouthouse-forum can help:

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?84508-Where-is-the-P3DV2-Exe-xml-file-located

I wonder that the installer for P3D is searching in the FSX-path.

Maybe ist a issue inside the installer.

The correct path for the exe.xml in P3D should be like this:

x:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

Hope this helps

thanks for the reply.

However I solved by uninstalling and I created a fake folder "FSX" in

C:/users/username/Appdata/Roaming/Microsoft/

with a fake exe.xml and reinstalling the citation.

No more error, but I've seen that does not enter anything in the file.....
