Alaska Cinematic AI Traffic

Featured Replies

I have Alaska Cinematic scenery for the Anchorage area of Alaska, and being that I just returned from a vacation there, I am estatic over this scenery. It looks like the real thing as far as I am concerened. The one problem I have is that the amount of AI traffic seems very low compared to most other areas I fly around. I use Ultimate Traffic and have recompiled it and checked everything. Is this due to the AFCADs that come with the scenery?

Hi Bob, it's probably due to a few reasons, one could be the amount of parking spaces in the AFCADs for that area, another could be the amount of flightplans (which UT doesn't have enough) and another is that the FS ATC can't handle real world flight levels, which is why UT is as sparse as it is. You can get AITM http://www.molitor-home.de/fs/ and load up the flightplans to see what traffic is supposed to be in the area and add more if needed.Another suggestion is find all ther AI specific aircraft you want, make sure you have plenty of parking spaces and AFCADS, then run the GA traffic generator and it will fill every parking spot with the traffic you installed.BTW enjoyed your vacation pics you posted at MF forum, very cool! I noticed this too, and have it disabled for that very reason. Yes, it has something to do with AFCADS. In addition to MyTraffic, I have a lot of custom GA traffic I've created for Alaska, and most of this traffic disappears when using Alaska Cinematic. It is especially noticable at Merrill Field, where I normally have 20+ AI aircraft on the ramps, and most of them disappear when I use Alaska Cinematic.I would have thought that layering order would fix this, though I cannot remember whether I tried this or not. I wasn't as impressed with it as I thought I'd be, and so haven't really tried to use it again yet. Maybe someday.Basil
