July 21, 200520 yr I recently downloaded the GMAX L-1049 Super Constellation by Mike Stone. (file;"twl1049ks")In the panel that came with it, I am unable to set Com-1, Nav-1 or Nav-2. However I am able to set the ADF and Transponder. I recently stumbled on a thread, possibly at AVSIM, that addressed that issue, but can't find it now. Someone, I think his name was Webb, offered some changes to the Radio section to aircraft.cfg but that didn't seem to help.Anyone have this problem, and were you able to solve it?Regards,Jeffrey
July 21, 200520 yr I don't have this particular bird and don't know your radio configuration, but it is quite common to need an edit for radios. I usually just copy the radio section from an applicable default bird and replace that secfion of the aircraft.cfg for the aircraft in question. Whatever you do, backup what you have so that you can go back to your starting place if need be.Suggestion: On AVSIM take a peek at fsdz1049a_v1.zip if you like the Supper Connies. One of the best IMHO.Happy flying:RTH
July 21, 200520 yr Thanks to all responders.I spooked around other panels and copied one that got my Nav's working.Com-1 wouldn't work either intil I used it with ATC which is apparently the only way to get it to work. Mousing it won't do it.Incidently I stumbled onto a neat little utility which you may or may not have. It's called a Database Gauge which you can place on any panel and it lets you locate any runway and automatically sets the ILS frequency in your Nav-1. If interested, go to flightsim.com, search for Ernie Alston and look for "rwyinfog.zip." It says that it's for FS2000 but it works in 2002. Don't know about 2004.
