September 9, 201510 yr The Trike is recommended for initial start up on FSX to run the PMDG 737NG. Is this the case for the Steam edition as well? Dan Rice Wolf Rice
September 9, 201510 yr Commercial Member All that's recommended is that the default flight is a stock FSX plane. A default flight using an addon aircraft might be of a type that utilises a resource that prevents the proper startup of the next plane to be loaded. When we start a plane from a saved flight, as when we right-click on a .FLT file and choose Open With... in Explorer, that will be the first flight loaded and so the default flight is not an issue. This behaviour is the same for FSX and FSX-SE. However with P3Dv2, it's best the sim is fully running before loading an addon plane, or loading a flight with an addon plane, make sure the default flight specifies a simple stock plane. It's just slightly different under the hood. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
