X55 stick extension

Hi Avsimmers!  I am considering doing an extension for my x55 stick, and I was thinking that it would be really cool if I could get an extra ten-pin round connector and stick that on the extension bit to make the whole setup completely modular.  Does anyone here know how to get the appropriate connector or else a cheep used x55?  Has anyone ever attempted this before?
