Hey! I've overclocked my i7 4790k from 4.3 to 4.7GHz, but when I run fsx I only got relatively small gains. (4-5 fps increase) Is there anything I'm missing, like RAM? Or is that just the sort of gains overclockers get on average? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Hey guys! I just installed Dzrewiecki Designs KJFK, and I'm a bit perplexed. The FSpilotshop blurb advertised moving jetways, high definition textures etc. but I don't seem to have either of those things. Could I possibly have the demo version? In which case, how do I get the full version?

Hi Avsim! I have been experiencing a weird bug recently that has started to really annoy me. Whenever I've been flying my fighter jets (aircraft with Tacpack enabled), I have gotten this weird bucking action without any steering input where my vertical speed would be all over the place at times, to the point where the pilot would be seeing red from all the negative g's the aircraft was pulling. Apart from being very irritating, it affects my aim. I also have accufeel and Active Sky Next running, although I have tried running without both and the problem still persists. Any ideas? Does anybody here own the Carenado B1900d? If so, does that person know how to change the squawk code, or if it is even possible? Because there is a 3D knob on what looks very much like a transponder in the cockpit above the annunciator panel, but I can't get the code that's displayed to change. I can't push the ident button either, it just turns on and off. I also don't seem to be able to change the speed bugs. Thank you!

Hey, I have been trying to get the IVAO model matching rule set working with vPilot, but no joy. I have installed vpilot, and the mtl for IVAO, and checked the FSX .cfg for the correct entry, but when I go into vpilot's settings and go to the model matching tab, it doesn't have the IVAO rule set option. Does anyone know why this might be?

Hi Avsimmers! I am considering doing an extension for my x55 stick, and I was thinking that it would be really cool if I could get an extra ten-pin round connector and stick that on the extension bit to make the whole setup completely modular. Does anyone here know how to get the appropriate connector or else a cheep used x55? Has anyone ever attempted this before? Thanks folks!

Thank you for the replies! I simply moved up CYHZ in the scenery library priority and I was off to the races. First time any problem in fsx has had a simple solution. Happy flying guys!

I am having some troubles with the Simaddons CYHZ in FSX SE. The first issue is that I have very bad texture flickering above a certain altitude (in both DX9 and DX10). The second, and this applies to some other addon sceneries, on some of the buildings like the main terminal and the jetways, it shows the Zinertek HD airports buildings instead of the new addon ones. Would there be any way to set scenery priorities, or something to that effect?

Hello fellow simmers! I am trying to run FSX on a networked configuration to save some performance, but I have run into several problems, one of which is that when I go to save a flight plan from FS Commander, it says "error writing PMDG flightplan! (75)". I was very careful to select the proper FSX path in the database manager, and tried very hard to make sure there weren't any security complications, but I could have missed something. - Tristan

Thanks for the reply Pete. I've installed all of the simconnect components on the networked PCs, but ASN does not connect. Does ASN perhaps need to be installed on the FSX computer but run from the networked one? Also, whenever I've come across a how-to, it's always involved some fiddling with .cfg and .xml files. Perhaps I'm making this too complicated. :s -Tristan

Hi! I've been looking all over the interwebs for a guide on how to run programs like Active Sky Next on a separate PC, but all of them seem to focus on boxed editions of FSX. Does anyone know how to accomplish the same thing with FSX Steam, if indeed it can be done? Thank you! - Tristan

Since trying and ultimately failing to run side-by-side installs of MS FSX and FSX-SE, I have tried to uninstall both as completely as I know how. After doing so, I downloaded FSX-SE, installed it, and attempted to install the add-ons I had previously installed. The first I tried was EZdok camera addon. The first time I attempted this, I was able to install it, update it, and run the configure tool with no issues, and it would start alongside fsx, but it would not appear in the add-ons menu, making it impossible to set up cameras. I tried several tips on the forums, and failing in this uninstalled the addon and tried again. The second time, I got as far as the configure tool. When I pressed the configure button, a window popped up saying: "So far as your version of Flight simulator X is other tha English + Acceleration Pack. We recommend to go through the simple procedure of searching for address of the world camera coordinates in the RAM of your PC. This task will be performed automatically and will not need any special skills from you. If you skip this procedure the functionality of world cameras will be very limited. Do you wish to start the wizard?" If I say No, nothing happens and I am back where I started, and if I say Yes, it tells me to close flight simulator if it's running, so that it can delete the world cameras. I click delete and I get an error saying: "Unable to write to C:\Users\Tristan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\cameras.cfg." But upon investigating, I can find no FSX folder in C:\Users\Tristan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\. Does this mean that my computer thinks that MS FSX is still installed? If so, how do I correct that? Sorry for the long-windedness, but I figured it's best to make these things detailed. Thank you very much in advance. ~Tristan
