  1. Hey. I did this livery up tonight after learning of Amazon's partnership with Atlas Air. This livery is for FSX/P3Dv3 using a licensed/legit copy of PMDG's 777F. I would like to receive feedback on what you think, so please fire away!! The airport is KMEM with GSX from FSDreamTeam in P3D. I'll post some more pics later.

    Livery Requests

I thought such a topic would come handy. To kick start it, I would like to ask if someone's kind enough and make a West Atlantic (cargo variant) repaint on the DC-6 please? In reality, West Atlantic did never operate the type (Air Atlantique did). West Atlantic is basically a holding company for Atlantic Airlines (they "inherited" Air Atlantique) and West Air Sweden. West Atlantic operate a fleet consisting of BAE ATPs (would love to see a study level BAE ATP in P3D), 737s, 767s and CRJs. I think the West Atlantic livery (both the grey and the white one) looks great and would make for an excellent dress for the DC-6 especially in a nice, weathered condition.
  3. So i was on flight with the pmdg 747 form Francfort to Dubaï and during the flight when iwas crusing at fl310 my simulation rate start to increase automaticly. It start to speed up at 2x and after it stays at 4x. I try to stop it by set it back on normal but it was stuck on 4x. The only way that i found was pressing p to pause p3d but it start it again. It ruin my flight and i don't want this to happen again. Have you guys any idea to fix this ? screenshot: https://www.noelshack.com/2018-34-1-1534785864-2018-8-20-19-10-47-873.jpg I use p3dv4.1

    PMDG 777 LNAV ACCURACY

Hello everyone! I have not found any similar threads to this, so I am starting a new one right here. It seems like that the PMDG 777 is not 100% accurate when flying in LNAV mode. I know that there are inaccuracies sometimes, but when I am flying in the real Boeing 777 Cockpit the airplane keeps 0.0 NM even when performing an 80 degree turn in China. Also, having talked to numerous 777 pilots, they are all telling me that the aircraft hardly ever gets "off track" more than 0.1 NM L/R. However, in the PMDG I usually get about 0.1 NM to even 0.7 NM L/R on sharp turns. (like overshooting). Wind data is inserted and all weights in the PERF page are all correctly inserted. Am I the only one experiencing this problem? Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi! I have a serious problem with my 737NGX - P3D version. I use it together with FS2Crew and simserver but otherwise vanilla P3D v3 Sometimes (not always) when i choose gear up or gear down the aircraft freezes (displays, control surfaces, gear). When this happen in gear up one way to fix it is to click the left PFD to get it as a separate window, the aircraft then suddenly returns to normal. When gear down that does not help but sometimes it has helped to do the same with the FOs right PFD. Is this something known and/or how do I fix it permanently?
  6. Hello Guys, since this seems to be a very proficient community i hope you can help me with my problem! 🙂 I recently installed the reboot version for PMDG´s NGX for p3d 4(.3). As far as i know i did everything correctly but i don´t seem to get the fs2crew main window. When i hit "n" ( for autofeather arm; tried other keys also) i seem to get what i would discribe as a short flashing box in the upper left corner of the screen that seems to be the main window (judging by the outlines) but it´s gone almost immediately. I have tried different solutions: -reinstalling both products (ngx and fs2crew) -binding the autofeather to different keys -running ist as administrator and/or in compatibility mode -checking the panel.cfg for fs2c entries and setting the visibility from "0" to "1" i´m flying the oculus rift but for testing purposes i didn´t start it via flyinside. Just hit the regular p3d icon (also in admin mode) I hope you guys can help me. Have a nice weekend! Manuel
  7. Hi Everyone! I've recently returned back home to my sim computer after about 2 months of living away. When I booted it up, I did my typical "update everything" flow and updated Windows 10, SODE (with C++ Update), FS2Crew 747 QOTSII, FSDreamTeam (Live Update), and Orbx Libraries. Basically everything I could think of that wasn't already updated since April 2018. I then bought the much anticipated QW787 and installed it. I went to start a flight the next day from IAH-ANC using the PMDG 737 and my frames seemed LOCKED at 15. My rig usually gets around 25-30 if not more, especially at a less difficult airport like FSDreamTeam IAH, or at the very least seems smooth. We are at a complete loss for what to do. So far I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything I updated, updated my NVIDIA drivers, checked and double checked all of the settings in the sim and in NVIDIA, made sure that the SSD, GPU, CPU, and Graphics Cards were all running correctly, checked to make sure the overclock was still configured, and even trashed and rebuilt the shaders and the .cfg file. At the moment I am re-downloading P3D just in case I need to wipe everything and start over. - WHAT HAS HAPPENED?! T SPECS: I7 7700k OC to 4.4ghz, GTX 1080, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD drive

    PMDG 777 constantly losing fuel

Hey guys! I've been having a very annoying issue with my PMDG 777 lately. On all my last 5 long haul flights, I am experiencing a constant and slow reduction of my fuel remaining at my destination. I am planning all my flights with real time weather in PFPX and activesky. By comparing the estimated wind forecast in the OFP and the actual wind in the sim, I can tell that they match very closely. I already read this: and changed the battery of my motherboard. - doesn't help. I have around 2000 hours in the sim with the PMDG 777 and never had this issue before. Does anybody have an idea about what's going on? Please help me I don't how to continue.
  10. Coukd someone please do a fictional repaint of the pmdg 737-800 to look like the old 737-400 combi. Thanks so much. If there one already could you point me to it.
  11. hi, i tried today for 1st time, to use the vnav, following the tutorial (from cold and dark state). when i press vnav i get the msg perf/vnav unavaible. for me, i did everything right. in my demo flight i created, the only "strange" is the very short flight, lgsa to lgav, at 11.000 alt at a distance of 144nm. i used fuel 55.000 (25.000 for the flight in safety) plus 30000 for the wings as the example says. i put right the temperatures for takeoff (27c that moment +15 , plus a little more) 55 in total. trim also calculated 5.7 and put. v2 of 153 also at the spd ready. i dont know what else it could be. i read many times the tutorial example and there is nothing different. any ideas pls? thank you

PilotWatch - Fly safely when AFK

Perhaps it's not the best practice in terms of realism, but let's be honest; when flying in cruise we often tab out the game and watch Netflix, make dinner or wash some clothes. I bet most of you don't fancy ticking the option in the flight sim to hear sounds even when tabbed out, so you can engine roars on top of Netflix. So when will you know something fails? When you come back and your flight has respawned? As a small side project I've now created PilotWatch, it's a small program which communicates with the flight sim, and PMDG airplanes, to monitor for warnings on your flight. PilotWatch is meant to be activated once you go AFK, else you'll probably get spammed by all kinds of warnings before you get to cruise. Once an warning is detected, it'll play a sound and send you a notification. Disable the alarm by opening the program. The purpose of the program is not to encourage pilots to leave their seat for more than 30 minutes on VATSIM (according to Code of Conduct) or break similar rules on other networks. The tool is simply to give you an additional heads up if you're not currently actively monitoring your simulator. Warnings monitored 737: Fire, Master Caution, Anti-ice, Hydraulic, Doors, Engine, Overhead, Cond, Auto-pilot, Auto-throttle. 777: Master Caution, Master Warning Compatibility FlightWatch is made to work with Windows 10 and Prepar3D v.4.2. Theoretically you should be able to use earlier versions of Windows, but this is not tested, let me know if it works for you! The supported version of Prepar3D is absolute, you will not be able to use it on any other version. Due to the nature of 64-bit in P3D, It will require too much double-up work to make this compatible P3D v1-3 or FSX. I'll however look into the possibility to support 4.0 and up later on. Works with: PMDG NGX 737 and PMDG 777. Download Newest version: Beta 1 Install by placing the folder where you want, preferably outside Program Files folder. Important installation note! In order for FlightWatch to receive data, you must tell PMDG to broadcast it, and by default this is turned off. Go to your PMDG folder in P3D, then the plane you're going to use, and open Options.ini and add this line at the bottom, and save: [SDK] EnableDataBroadcast=1 Example where you find this file: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\737NGX_Options.ini Disclaimer This is a very early version of the program, so I can't guarantee it'll cover all kind of warnings. If you do find bugs, crashes, or warnings which are not covered, let me know in the comments and I'll do my best to add them! Please help me test this! Once we get NGX perfected, I'll be easier for me to complete the other PMDG planes.
  14. Hello guys. This is my first post here, even though I've been lurking for quite a while now... This is a post to announce a new livery for the 747-400ER Qotsll V3: South African Airways "new" paint. After wanting to fly through Africa, Europe and Middle East I looked for a nice SAA livery, but all I could find was some squishy models with inaccurate color palette and logo distortions (not saying mine is perfect). I then decided to give it a try and here it is. I chose the words (from a real SAA 747 by the way) SHOSHOLOZA for this livery and here is what it means (just copy pasted from Wikipedia): "Shosholoza" is a Fanagalo song that was sung by the mixed tribes of miners mining gold in South Africa. It is a mix of Zulu and Ndebele words, and can have various other South African languages thrown in depending on the singers. It was sung by all-male African workers that were working in the South African mines in a call and response style. The song is so popular in South African culture that it is often referred to as South Africa's second national anthem. Anyway, here is the link for the PTP file: https://nofile.io/f/07MKZOcOjxO/PMDG+747-400ER+V3+South+African+Airways+(Shosholoza)+2018.ptp Please let me know if you find any mistakes or faults regarding the file or the painting. I am open to receive new requests as well. Enjoy. :)
  15. Basically, the first thing is, I have noticed issues in P3Dv4.2 with sound, for example engage full throttle, then pull thrust to idle, then change between views and the sound resets back to that of full throttle again, even when thrust levers are closed.... and it's pretty annoying and i don't know how to make it stop and cannot seem to find anything online to help (just to clarify this is using the P3Dv4 standard views and not chaseplane etc...). when this happens (which is all the time), i then turn off engines and switch views and the problem persists, then suddenly CTD. the problem is detectable for me when in the passenger front wing/engine view. don't know what is causing this. i am using AS4 with this, but don't think this is the issue. addons: orbx global base pack AS4 747 QOTS 737ngx + expansion 777 + expansion Navigraph FMS data system spec: i7 5820k GTX1070 32GB RAM

Navigraph Nav Data out of Date

Hello, I am trying to install AIRAC 1804 to PMDG 737NGX. I am using Navigraph. It says in the NavData Manager that the AIRAC is 1804. But on Ident on the FMC in aircraft it says it has AIRAC 1108. I tried to enter the path manually under: - Prepar3D/ - Prepar3D/PMDG Both do not work.
  17. Hello, I have flown the 737 on different platforms from eham to lowi before and am just revisiting prepar3d again after x-plane mod 737 crashing all the time. I have just purchased the pmdg 737 for prepar3d and can't find the pmdg tutorial #2 scenario's to load. I'm wanting to practise the steep turn at innsbruck prior to runway 08 and am wishing to load the approach scenario that is provided in tutorial #2. Do I have to already be manually flying the eham to lowi route in order to load the scenario's or is there some trick to copying the relevant scenario files somewhere? I don't understand why the scenarios are not appearing in the list when I goto load scenarios in the startup screen. Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help. Michael M
  18. Sort of an odd question, but one I have been fighting here recently. So I still follow the tutorial distributed by PMDG. Yes, I still have yet to master the FMC, but I'm learning more and more as I fly. With respect to the B737-NGX, I noticed last night while flying the Tutorial #1 flight, that my aircraft fails to stay on it's flightpath. I have both LNAV and VNAV active (with autopilot set), but as it approaches turns ion the path, it appears to overcompensate and as a result, when it approaches a straight vector, the plan has to do three or so slight turns to correct the flight vector in relation to the plan vector. With that said, I have come across a few variances between what is in the tutorial and what I get as results in the FMC. The biggest difference are waypoints, but Kyle mentioned to me before that is due to AIRAC cycles, so I try to take that with a grain of salt, but somehow I feel that with those variances, it is messing with the way the aircraft follows the path. My V speeds tend to be more than what is in the tutorial, about +5knts. Trim settings are more as well (those together cause me to have to take more time down the runway). What I really want to know is whether or not it is normal for the NGX to overshoot or overcompensate the flight plan path and what I am witnessing is normal? I tend to believe I may be doing something wrong, I just don't know what it is. As for the other issues, maybe it's the same thing. I will admit fault if it is my fault, I just want to learn this aircraft and learn i correctly. No offense to PMDG, but if they had made any improvements, or if cycles had changed, that they could at least update the tutorial to help out those who are just getting into the NGX now and with the variances coming up, it can be confusing. -Jim

    PMDG 737

Just a question. If i can run the aerosoft airbus on my laptop will i be able to run the PMDG 737?
  20. PMDG are set to announce a 'new product line' at this year's FlightSimExpo in Las Vegas. In a press release, the conference's organisers say the product has been in development since 2008 but has never been announced to the public. PMDG CEO Robert S Randazzo, however, has been tight-lipped thus far. More than 35 exhibitors will be in attendance at the event, which takes place at the Flamingo Las Vegas resort from 9-10 June, but Randazzo's appearance will undoubtedly be the most eagerly-anticipated. Speculation about the announcement has already gone in to overdrive, with many users theorising that a new simulation platform could be in the offing: Randazzo has previously hinted at a major secret project, saying that the JS41 for P3D would be delayed due to a "major... massive, YUGE even" project, leading some to believe an A380 could be in the works. If true, such a move would represent a major departure from PMDG's established Boeing stable and a direct challenge to YouTuber Matt Davies' A380 development, as well as Airbus specialists FSLabs. Knowing PMDG, however, the only time anyone will be able to say for certain what is planned will be immediately after Randazzo stands on the podium in Las Vegas.
  21. Is there a way to move those screens to another monitor (monitors)? I don't find clarity of text very good in virtual cockpit. It's rather small and I would like to use dedicated monitors for PFD/PND and EFIS/Checklists
  22. Hi, lately it happens that in some flights the airplane has excessive fuel consumption. When I takeoff, I have 22000kg of estimated fuel on destination. But after taking off, that number drops 0,1kg every 4 or 5 minutes. I use PFPX, I load the winds to the legs page via the uplink, so I don´t know what could be wrong. Thanks,
  23. Hey Folks, recently I got few Bluescreens (no CTDs) caused by PMDG_737NGX_2.dll when starting up one of the engines. A quick goolge search didn't bring any help because there are some reported errors with the same .DLL when closing FSX...hope you guys can help me out because it's really frustrading. Thank you in advance :)! BR, Arthur Hutterer

    Performance Problems

I am using PMDG 737 NGX and I am amazed at the high quality of the product. I have been having some issues with full flights and I am in the process of investigating performance limitations. All seems to be well with all flights until I get to the final stages. One flight completely locked up with 2 miles to go and a flight today landed but with just a few miles to go it got very jumpy and difficult to fly. I also have some challenges running the pmdg 737 ngx. I cant seem to make it work with the ngx as a default aircraft. I also cannot managed to save it with the screen configurations in place, so that when I reload these configurations, the screens have gone back to the default settins. I am running Windows 8.1 Pro, Intel Core i7 - 4770 cpu 3.4 ghz, 32gb ram and nvidia geforce 970 graphics card. I use P3D v4 and obviously pmdg 737 ngx. Can anyone suggest why I seem to have these issues? Regards Alan H
  25. Over the past few weeks (and months), there have been numerous threads and posts regarding calculating performance figures in the PMDG 777-200LR/F, especially takeoff figures including assumed temperatures and V-Speeds. In those threads that I participated in, I mentioned the use of numerous manuals, such as the FCOM and FPPM to gain some figures for take-off performance. This will be a guide on how to do so, particularly for the 777-300ER fitted with GE90-115B’s.I would like to stress that while this is for the 300ER, assuming you have the appropriate manuals for the 200LR, the same method can be used. While I tried to use the FCOM as much as possible, some things are just not available in Volume 1 and therefore I was forced to use the FPPM. First of all, before I start, I would like to make a note that is not how a real crew would calculate/obtain their takeoff performance. They would either use performance manuals created by the airline, which are airport and runway specific, or OPT software on the Boeing fitted EFB or on a small ‘e-laptop’ (10” screen netbook etc.). You will see throughout the guide that a lot of rounding/conserving occurs, therefore there would be some discrepancies compared to if you used OPT software. Some acronyms used throughout this guide are; FPPM – Flight Planning and Performance Manual FCOM – Flight Crew Operating Manual (and for the purposes of this guide, solely Volume 1) OPT – Onboard Performance Tool ATM – Assumed Temperature Method V Speeds – V1, VR, V2 RW – Runway TORA – Take Off Runway Available ETOW – Estimated Take Off Weight I would also like to add, that this is a very primitive way of gaining figures from the FPPM/FCOM. Really, if I was flying a real T7, and only had access to the FCOM or FPPM, and none of the tools I mentioned above, I would go through 5 different charts/tables which contain numerous considerations (Runway Slope, Obstacles, Tire Limits, Brake Energy Limits etc.). For the purpose of this exercise, I will only be using the figures from the Takeoff Field Limit chart and tables. For the purposes on a flight on FSX, this suffices fine IMO. In real life, the performance manuals provided by the airline take into consideration all these things, and therefore the time taken to come up with an assumed temperature and v-speed is considerably quicker than doing so through the FCOM and FPPM. Now, lets get started! First of all, the scenario that I will be using.Today, we are flying a 777-300ER, fitted with GE90-115B’s, out of Sydney (YSSY), with a planned departure of Runway 34L. RW34L, from intersection A6, has a TORA of 3900m (3962m to be exact). For weather purposes, we will assume there is a direct 10kt headwind (so METAR is reporting 335/10), and the runway condition is dry. Our company SOP’s call for a FLAP15 departure with a D-TO1 de-rate setting. The pressure altitude at Sydney is rounded to SLP (0ft). Our ETOW today is 312450 KG’s(312.4T). Now to calculate our figures; Step 1: The first step to complete is to get our compensated TOW which will take into account the 10% decrease in available thrust due to our selection of a D-TO1 de-rate setting. To do that, we go the FPPM. We are working backwards with this table, as with most tables/graphs in the manual. Now in the table, as you can see there is no exact match for our TOW (312.4t). With all these charts, you are taught to be conservative. So for our purposes, we are going to use the figures for a TOW of 314.7t. So looking at the table above, you can see that with a TO1 de-rate setting, with a TOW of 312.4t (conserved up to 314.7t for planning purposes), the TOW that we should plan our figures for is now an amended 340t. This is due to the fact that we will have 10% less thrust available on the take-off roll. N.B: If the airline dictates that D-TO2 is also available, there are similar charts in the FPPM which provide figures for 25% thrust decrease availability. Step 2: It’s now time to find our corrected runway length to take into considering wind component and slope. Now as FSX’s runways aren’t sloped, I won’t be doing any calculations related to the slope. However, I will do so for wind component. The headwind component on RW34L is 10kts. The TORA from A6 sourced from ERSA is 3900m. We now can go to the FCOM and pull out the ‘Field Corrections’ chart. We are once again going to be conservative and choose a shorter runway length then we actually have. In this case I have chosen 3800m. Going horizontally across from my runway length and vertically down from my headwind component, you can see that we arrive at a figure of 3950m. Due to the headwind component, we have virtually obtained another 150m of available takeoff runway. Step 3: It’s now time to find our assumed temperature. For that we have 2 sources. We can either use nice, pretty and easy tables in the FCOM, or a nice graph that we can plot on from the FPPM. For the purposes of this tutorial, I will be using the tables from the FCOM (as most people don’t have access to the FPPM). Once again, we start at our corrected runway length (which has been conserved back down to 3800m from 3950m), work horizontally across till we find our TOW (which has been conserved up to 341.6t from 340t), and go horizontally up to find our max OAT. Therefore today, our assumed temperature, with a D-TO1 rating will be 42°C. Step 4: Time to get those important V-Speeds! Luckily, in the FPPM, we have a table to find our V-Speeds for D-TO1 take-off. Let’s pull out the V-Speed charts, for a dry runway with a D-TO1 rating. Now, since this chart is taking into considering the 10% thrust reduction, we DO NOT use our amended TOW which was calculated in Step 1. With our ETOW being 312.4t, I have rounded it up to 320t. Going horizontally across from 320t, and vertically down from Flaps 15, we arrive at our V-Speeds. V1 = 156, VR = 170 ad V2= 176. However, since we have a 10kt headwind, we must account for that such wind. Therefore we must now pull out the ‘Wind V1 Adjustments’ table. Once again, going horizontally across from 320t, and vertically down from our headwind component of 10kt, a V1 correction of 1kt needs to be accounted for (Yeah, I know, not much!). Therefore our takeoff performance looks something like this; --------------------------------------------- YSSY 34L @ A6, 3960m TORA D-T01, 42C N1: 96.8% V1: 157 VR: 170 V2: 176 ---------------------------------------------- Step 6: Enter all the relevant data into the FMC. De-rate and assumed temperature is done through the THRUST LIM page, and the V-Speeds done through the TAKEOFF REF page. I hope this guide helps some of you when the T7 comes out, and helps you get some rough performance figures until either TOPCAT or another 3rd party developer (Aurasim etc.) is able to produce a 777 takeoff performance tool.
