  1. I followed Nirgal's instructions for the 182 and ended up with a system that displays correctly; however, the autopilot in the 182 fails to follow the GPS guidance. It just turns the plane north to a track of ~005 and locks it there. I've tried this at several locations and I get the same results.
  2. Hi guys! Does anyone have the GTN 750 mod for Embraer EMB-110? Greetings!
  3. Questions for the participants in this topic, as I see your posts contain answers. 1) how are you getting single spacing in your posts? Each time I hit the <enter> key I get double spaced lines. 2) how creating the hidden content to shorten the initial appearance of long posts, such as when posting a long .cfg or .ini file? Thanks...
  4. Hi, I have the problem that the LED display of my Saitek Multi Panel is not being updated on PMDG aircraft. I have the following setup: All buttons of my Saitek Multi Panel are controlled by LINDA except the rotary knob. Mapping the functions SAI_MULTI_increase_value and SAI_MULTI_decrease_value in LINDA (on Press) causes the rotary knob to be jumpy and with a lot of latency. Instead, I am using SPAD and FSUIPC which gives a much better behavior of the rotary knob. The Multi Panel display is updated and consistent with FSX on my default aircraft. However, on my PMDG aircraft the altitude, heading, etc is correct in FSX in the Virtual Cockpit, but the display of my Saitek Multi Panel is never updated. The altitude stays at 10000, the IAS and HDG at 000. I have set EnableDataBroadcast=1 in [SDK] section of my PMDG ini files, but that didn't help. The default and PMDG aircraft are handled differently by SPAD and FSUIPC in my setup: Default aircraft: SPAD : Multi Panel 1 - Setup - Rotary Knob - FSUIPC Offset Change (for ALT,VS,IA,HDG and CRS) PMDG aircraft: SPAD: Multi Panel 1 - Setup - Rotary Knob - FSUIPC Virtual Button , Virtual Joystick 64 , Virtual Button 0-9 (ALT-CRS) FSUIPC : Buttons & Switches , Profile specific, Joy# 64, Btn# 0-9 , Select for key press , keys to be sent when button pressed FSX : PMDG Aircraft - CDU/FMC - PMDG Setup - Options _ Key commands - Autoflight - keys for rotary knob functions So, on PMDG aircraft, when I turn the rotary knob, SPAD sends a virtual joystick+button command to FSUIPC, FSUIPC translates this into a key press command and sends this to FSX, and in FSX this key press is equivalent to an rotating knob function in my PMDG aircraft. It works perfectly in FSX, except that the Saitek Multi Panel display is not updated. I then decided to replace the FSUIPC key press by a LUA script because that can handle multiple commands. The initial key press in the lua script works perfectly with the ipc.keypress command. CtrlShift6.lua: ipc.keypress(54,11) -- send CTRL+SHIFT+6 --.... some function to update Multi Panel display .... CtrlShift7.lua: ipc.keypress(55,11) -- send CTRL+SHIFT+7 --.... some function to update Multi Panel display .... I have seen the function RefreshSMP() in common.lua, but that is not a global function that I can call from another lua script. Is it possible to put a command(s) in the lua script to get my Multi Panel display updated? Or is there another easy solution? CBird
  5. Hi All, Can't believe I've just discovered the C337, came on it by accident after a less-than-impressed experience with the new Carenado 206, and have to agree its a really beautiful bird - great dynamics, immersive cockpit and friendly framerates to boot. I did see that there's a fix from Bert Pieke for the "Com" mislabel on the panel though, PM'd Bert to get it but perhaps he's not as active on the forums these days. I was wondering if anyone might have the "Nav" texture fix they could eMail to me? My address is joeldelman@mac.com Thanks in advance, much appreciated! Best, Joel
  6. Hey! I've recently been having some issues with the PMDG 737NGX. Whenever I start my aircraft up, I do this: Battery > APU (whole procedure) > IRS Align -- I may have missed some things out, but that's basically what I do. Now, when my PFD, ND and EICAS come on, it shows this: As you can see, there is no numbers on the PFD, ND or EICAS. I need help! Signed, Jacob Passam
  7. Hi, Im usingf the PMDG 777 with P3Dv4 on a Dual Monitor Setup (Second is for gauges) and i have a Problem with undocking the Panels. Whenever i undock a Panel to take it to my second Monitor, the Panel goes black in the VC. Ist like im litterally taking it out to bring it to the other Screen. I have never had this with any other aircraft. Is it Normal ? sorry for my bad english Greetings from switzerland Stephane
  8. Hey everyone  Im desinging my own small pop-up "universal panel" in FS Panel Studio. This mini panel will use default MS gauges only and will have stuff like an autopilot, ADI, HSI etc. I want it for use in the VC of planes I fly a lot like the default CRJ. However what I do NOT want to do is have to go into EACH planes panel folder and edit the panel.cfg it to show my mini panel  Could someone advise me on how to go about setting this up please? So that when I press a certain key combo the mini panel shows up in ANY plane? Do I create my own folder in the gauges folder? I want the mini panel in a single location and from there FSX would look to the particular folder and display it. Thanks for any advice it will be greatly appreciated B)
  9. Just a quick question for the more advanced panel editors on here. Have any off you guys taken on the challenge of using these new V2 Rxp 530 units with the Aerosoft Diamond DA20-100 'Katana' 4X? I fell in love with that aircraft when I first purchased it so many years ago for FSX, having it in P3D with a working RXP 530 would be a blessing... However it's coding is far to complicated for my rookie panel editing "skills". Any thoughts?
  10. Hi! Does anyone have mods of the Embraer 110 (Dreamfoil) and of C208 (Carrenado) to X-Plane11? Hello, GeeForge! How can I obtain yours mod for Alabeo Diamond DA-42 Twin Star? For GTN750.
  11. Hmm ... Okay, I found the process of working out the buttons an knobs an interesting challenge ... So in that respect it was worthwhile, however you would do your customers an enormous favor by documenting that, since I did not see it in the install doc and I in fact just looked at it before typing this reply ... :) I still cannot make the autopilot "nav mode" work with any of my planes, and I think I have tried every option in .ini file that seems even vaguely related ... Regards, Jeff
  12. Anyone able to fit the GNS430 into the Carenado Cessna Caravan HD?
  13. Guys, I'm looking for a mod for C90B Carenado. Anybody make it? Regards,
  14. A2A PA24 Comanche w/ RXP V2 GPS 400 I didn't realize until today the latest FSX/P3D version now includes the GPS 400. This is special for me as I prefer the 400 to the 430 in the A2A PA24 in order to full utilize the Narco VHF 1/2 sets. Unfortunately, I'm unable to get VC setup correct in P3DV4.1. Does anybody know how to accomplish this?
  15. This isn't my work, a user at x plane dot org has created a nice mod for the GTN 750 in Aerobask Panthera. I'm trying to contact him to make sure it's ok to post his work. But screenshots! I think there may be a way to get the GTN 650 working and I have been playing with some values but no luck so far. If you don't have the Panthera I highly recommend it - super plane! edit: I've just now taken what I learned from that user and made a GTN 750 mod for the Aerobask Eclipse 550 v2! pantheraGTN2 by ryan b, on Flickr pantheraGTN by ryan b, on Flickr eclipseGTNRXP2 by ryan b, on Flickr eclipseGTNRXP by ryan b, on Flickr
  16. Hi guys! I've been trying to build panels with backlighting like this one: http://kazey.flitepal.com/cockpit_build/backlit_panels/20170524_222631mod.jpg While researching, I came across videos and some topics: https://aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/2608/how-are-backlit-aircraft-panels-for-simulators-made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5efmnMKkMs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIGPb0ko0qE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g2ipxu-VgM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vf7tQNYqliw Those topics and videos refer to some sort of "laser color", "opaque special white laser color" etc., which is something I cannot understand very well. It sounds to me that they are using a special paint that laser doesn't burn. What I got from the building process, is that it starts with clear acrylic, then this special white is applied, then black layer to stop backlighting, and then the final color. At the end they treat it with the laser to achieve high-contrast lettering. What I've tried so far, is getting opal white acrylic, figuring that when I paint it, and then remove the paint, I would get high contrast white. Yes, but no. This is my try: http://kazey.flitepal.com/cockpit_build/backlit_panels/wiper_2.jpg This has been painted black, and then with gray-blueish color, then laser engraved. The laser seems to burn the paint and leaves the acrylic with with some grayish shadowy color. Not what I desire to achieve. I did not apply white, because a) I am using opal acrylic and b) I am afraid the result will be the same. However, once backlit, it looks okay: http://kazey.flitepal.com/cockpit_build/backlit_panels/22641966_10214242823895493_1532820798_o.jpg But I want high contrast white when not backlit. Does anyone have the secret? Regards, Ivan
  17. Hi all, I've installed 737-600/700/800/900 with model update. I have a panel state issue upon initial load into FS9 with all liveries. Everything works fine except for the logo light not working. i.e. The tail logo doesn't light up. However, if I load the default 737-700 cold and dark flight from select a flight, go through the checklists to power up using either APU or Ground Power; this then fixes the issue of the logo light not working, including on all liveries (i.e. without exiting FS9, creating a new flight). Is there a way for me to save the panel state for the 737? Thank you in advance for any help on this. EDIT: Resolved (solution below) Found out that you cannot save the panel state for the 737 series. PMDG Source. So I've found a temporary solution for myself. I'll write it here for others if they have this issue and want to resolve it too ... 1) Load FS9 2) Choose "Select a Flight" 3) In the list choose PMDG > 737-700 cold and dark 4) Once the flight has loaded (the aircraft will be in a default cold and dark state) ... Press the alt key > World > Go to Airport ... load an airport you want to start at usually (call it your home airport) ... don't bother changing the time once you are at your home airport in a cold and dark state (as you will probably always change this anyway). 5) Once loaded at your home airport, go through the checklist in the aircraft to a panel state you are comfortable with in starting at in every flight; i.e. a panel state where you are at a point in the checklist you are comfortable at starting at for every flight you do. For me I went through the checklist up until FMC entries prior to PUSHBACK & START. However I have to change or update the following: a. OVHD > Set cruise altitude and destination airport elevation b. OVHD > Fuel pumps check (dependant on fuel load) c. OVHD > Start APU or select Ground Power (checking of electrical systems) d. OVHD > APU bleed switch ON/OFF (for starting engines) e. OVHD > double check YAW is set to ON e. MCP > Course, Heading (runway), initial ATC altitude cleared to, VNAV, LNAV, double check AUTOBRAKE setting RTO, initial Speed, Flight Director ON etc ... f. Then continue checklist's from FMC entries, then PUSHBACK and Engine Start. 6) Save the flight (press alt key > Flight > Save as ... Name it PMDG 737 Custom start > tick the box "make default flight". 7) Now everytime you load FS9 to do a flight, it will load the above default state for the PMDG 737. Once FS9 has loaded, you MUST click Fly Now so it loads the flight above. Once loaded, you can then create a new flight as you would normally, noting that you have to start from the following checklist (as mentioned in step 5 above).
  18. Hello all. I'm working on finishing my sim pit for FSX. I found the GoFlight GF-RP48 push button rotary module, but cannot seem to find a whole lot of info on it. First thing I need to know is if it connects using USB2.0. Second I need to know if it is fairly straight forward mapping it with FSUIPC. Third I need to know if I can use this for knobs in the cockpit like the OBS and Heading Bug and things like that. I hope somebody here owns one and can help me make a more informed decision. I am still pretty new to flight sims and computers, so a descriptive answer is appreciated. Thank you.
  19. So with all these mods everyone's 3d VC buttons like Dto, the inner and outer knobs, and the HOME buttons work? I don't mean on the rxp popup gauges but the VC gauges?
  20. I have a problem that for a number of add-on planes (FS2crew panel for q400, A2A comanche & connie, Manfred Jahns c-47) if I save a flight with a 2D panel open and then exit P3D and then reload the save any 2D panels that were open end up tiny. So tiny that they can barely be seen. Here are 2 images, the first before exiting and the 2nd after exiting and then re-loading a save. Any ideas on how to fix? image 1 image 2

  22. Plane Maker Carenado CT210M I'm trying to use Plane Maker to make the panel look like the one in my real plane but all I get when I open the Carenado plane is a blank 2D and 3D panel. I've successfully moved instruments around on other planes (standard planes that came with X-Plane). Any help would be appreciated.
