Hello Everyone. I am a M.Engineering student from a University in Canada. Our team is currently designing and building a fixed based flight simulator to be used for educational and research purposes. We are almost done building the rig, so now we need to choose a control equipment (yoke, throttle and rudder for now). For our test-bed, we used CH's FlightSim Yoke, throttle quadrant and pro pedals. But the built quality and the feel of the control did not meet on par with our standards. So researches were done, and we found some better quality devices, price ranging from $200 ~ $1350. Yoke One of the most important equipment we need to purchase. Here is the list of the ones we found so far. Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Yoke System $210 VRInsight Flight Master Yoke $400 Precision Flight Controls Cirrus Beech Yoke $620 GOFLIGHT GF-Pro Yoke System $750 Throttle There weren't as many choices as yokes, so we simply went with the concept of our simulator, which is mainly for general aviation Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Prop Mixture Module $150 Rudder Same for the throttle, I haven't found many variants, so decided to stick with this Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Rudder $210 So.. finally, my question is, of the four yokes above, which one do you recommend? Remember, it needs to feel and look as professional (real) as possible. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Experts,I have purchased the new GoFlight GF-WP-6 Annunciator a week ago.I installed the new GFConfig V2.03 and I can configure the board via GFConfig.Starting FSX the board works depending on the selected aircraft.1. Beechcraft Baron (FSX idle) : e.g. "Stall", "GPS/Nav toggle" ...2. Boeing 737-800 (FSX idle) : working: "Stall", "Pull up", "GPS/Nav toggle", "Terrain" NOT working: "Master Alert", "Master Caution"3. Boeing 737-800 NGX (PMDG): does NOT work anything! So here my questions:1. Does anybody has some experience with the GF-WP-6 and PMDG 737 NGX?2. Is there any discussion already around this topic that I may have overseen? (surved a lot but could not find anything)Any hint are very much appreciated,

Hi, my name is Paul and I just introduced myself in the newbies forum. I own FSX Gold and and FS Ultimate Americas. I decided to start with a relatively modest t16000m and I own a Corsair K65 RGB which is excellent for assigning different colours to different types of controls on a key-by-key basis. However already I am starting to crave more!!! While there is no way that I could afford anything from GoFlight, I was looking at a few lower end panels from Saitek on Amazon which are affordable to me at the moment. My dilemma is do I just buy the Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel or should I add the Saitek Pro Flight TPM Panel as well. Realistically at the moment my budget is about €200 so that would have to be it. Ideally I'd like to hear that the Pro Flight Switch would be sufficient and work my way up from there. I would also like to hear peoples opinions on pedals, and yokes and how much they add to the immersion? I know that's a lot of questions but if anyone could address even a couple it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance (He said optimistically!) Paul Ps. Please let me know if the use of brand names is allowed in here. Thanks.

Are the Project Opensky Planes using the Default FSX/P3d Autopilot Module ? Because somehow it didnt work for me with a 737-800 i downloaded. Most of the Default P3d planes work just fine. thanks in advance amd greetngs from LSZH Stephane

Hello all. I'm working on finishing my sim pit for FSX. I found the GoFlight GF-RP48 push button rotary module, but cannot seem to find a whole lot of info on it. First thing I need to know is if it connects using USB2.0. Second I need to know if it is fairly straight forward mapping it with FSUIPC. Third I need to know if I can use this for knobs in the cockpit like the OBS and Heading Bug and things like that. I hope somebody here owns one and can help me make a more informed decision. I am still pretty new to flight sims and computers, so a descriptive answer is appreciated. Thank you.

With the immanent release of the 777, I was wondering if the developers will be updating the fantastic freeware software to run with the 777. One of the huge reasons I fly with PMDG aircraft is the ability to interface with the GoFlight MCP this would be a great. Thanks for your response in advance.

Hello, About two months ago i purchased a GoFlight Pro Yoke after watching the review 'Froggle Pete' did. Got to say i am not really all that impressed, i am entirely ignoring the mouse control feature, it's entirely unusable. The Yoke does feel pretty substantial and at least from the aileron axis it's smooth and weighty. My major issue is the elevator control, it's absolutely terrible, i would say worse than the Saitek yoke i replaced it with, it's way too heavy, you get perhaps 1cm travel before the springs provide to much resistance. In order to help i have removed the springs, it's a little better, but precise control is now much harder because it no longer has a neutral position, so trimming is impossible, elevator authority simply takes over. Anyhoo, i am stuck with this, so my question; can somebody suggest replacement springs, or bungee cords that would substitute?
