  1. Does anyone know whether or not Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) will be backwards-compatible with existing peripherals that were designed for Microsoft FSX? I have a large amount of Saitek peripherals (Cessna yoke/quadrant, Cessna rudder pedals, Cessna trim wheel, switch panel, radio panel, GPS panel). If I were to switch to FS2020 sometime in the future, would I have to buy all-new peripherals, or would my current ones work? Thanks in advance for the help.
  2. I have an existing profile (was used for OPUS Live Camera) that transforms all POV hat inputs to keyboard commands. This way, I can use the mode and pinkie over-rides to get the two POV hats to either move, pan or zoom - depending on whether the pinkie switch is held down. This has worked well, allowing me full access to all camera movements with just the two hats. However - I can't get Chaseplane to recognise/accept keyboard commands when sent via the X52, so none of this can work. This is P3Dv4 and Chaseplane 0.25 Alpha. Adam.
  3. Hi everybody, I am using Linda 3.04 together with Prepar3D v. 4. The problem is that my switch panel and my multi panel start blinking, once Linda has been loaded. At the switch panel the light for Gear Down blink and at the multi panel one button after the other. Does anybody have an idea? Kind regards, Karsten
  4. P3D crashes when these Saitek panels are installed and powered. Does not crash with panels off
  5. Is the plug in to be loaded: "Xsaitekpanels_2_56"? Is all that is necessary, is to put the "Xsaitekpanels" folder into the "Resources, Plugins" folder? Am I missing anything? Sorry for all the questions, but this is my first time using plug ins and I can't get it to work. Thanks,
  6. When I load the 737NGX and configure the Ailerons and Elevator. The Ailerons only move 2 degrees Left and right Elevator only an inch forward and back and the rudders hardly move. It doesn't matter if I config them through FSX-SE or Fusipc it still happens but not on other aircraft. Help Richard Preece
  7. I posted this in another area but I think it should be here. That said I don't know where the issue lies. Ive had a full clean reinstall and also moved up to the steam edition. The problem it With the PMDG 737NGX Whether configuring the ailerons, Elevator and rudders Through FAX or FUSIPC the ailerons only move 2 degrees either direction the Elevators only move an inch and the Rudders hardly move at all. Can someone point me in the right direction or have they had a similar issue. As advised on Fruggle the &£& like the throttles to be through FSX which Ive done Thanks for any help Richard Preece
  8. Hi, I have the problem that the LED display of my Saitek Multi Panel is not being updated on PMDG aircraft. I have the following setup: All buttons of my Saitek Multi Panel are controlled by LINDA except the rotary knob. Mapping the functions SAI_MULTI_increase_value and SAI_MULTI_decrease_value in LINDA (on Press) causes the rotary knob to be jumpy and with a lot of latency. Instead, I am using SPAD and FSUIPC which gives a much better behavior of the rotary knob. The Multi Panel display is updated and consistent with FSX on my default aircraft. However, on my PMDG aircraft the altitude, heading, etc is correct in FSX in the Virtual Cockpit, but the display of my Saitek Multi Panel is never updated. The altitude stays at 10000, the IAS and HDG at 000. I have set EnableDataBroadcast=1 in [SDK] section of my PMDG ini files, but that didn't help. The default and PMDG aircraft are handled differently by SPAD and FSUIPC in my setup: Default aircraft: SPAD : Multi Panel 1 - Setup - Rotary Knob - FSUIPC Offset Change (for ALT,VS,IA,HDG and CRS) PMDG aircraft: SPAD: Multi Panel 1 - Setup - Rotary Knob - FSUIPC Virtual Button , Virtual Joystick 64 , Virtual Button 0-9 (ALT-CRS) FSUIPC : Buttons & Switches , Profile specific, Joy# 64, Btn# 0-9 , Select for key press , keys to be sent when button pressed FSX : PMDG Aircraft - CDU/FMC - PMDG Setup - Options _ Key commands - Autoflight - keys for rotary knob functions So, on PMDG aircraft, when I turn the rotary knob, SPAD sends a virtual joystick+button command to FSUIPC, FSUIPC translates this into a key press command and sends this to FSX, and in FSX this key press is equivalent to an rotating knob function in my PMDG aircraft. It works perfectly in FSX, except that the Saitek Multi Panel display is not updated. I then decided to replace the FSUIPC key press by a LUA script because that can handle multiple commands. The initial key press in the lua script works perfectly with the ipc.keypress command. CtrlShift6.lua: ipc.keypress(54,11) -- send CTRL+SHIFT+6 --.... some function to update Multi Panel display .... CtrlShift7.lua: ipc.keypress(55,11) -- send CTRL+SHIFT+7 --.... some function to update Multi Panel display .... I have seen the function RefreshSMP() in common.lua, but that is not a global function that I can call from another lua script. Is it possible to put a command(s) in the lua script to get my Multi Panel display updated? Or is there another easy solution? CBird
  9. Does this work with the Saitek radio and multi panel as the 737 did? If so is it the same fix? Thanks
  10. Hi I'm new on this forum. I have : -- P3D v3.4. -- LINDA 2.8.8. -- saitek radio panel -- saitek multi panel 1. I have a message error in P3d when I "reload LUA engine" --> "Saitek Multi panel is DETECTED but couldn't be opended. I don't know how to resolve this error. 2. When LINDA is open, the radio panel always show the "COM1" frenquency and erase information on the multi panel. Thanks for your help. Noel
  11. Hi guys, Some time ago I have bought the Saitek Proflight Yoke in combination with the throttle quadrant. I appreciate the product a lot. Is there a way to get additional quadrant lever heads, so I can create my preferred configuration of throttle, flaps, mixture and prop pitch? I mainly fly the Boeing 737, and I would like to have two separate power levers. With one extra black (throttle) knob, I can make two power levers. I have contacted Saitek about this, but there are no available knobs as spare part. Did anyone else try to get an extra knob?
  12. If you've been tearing your hair out over Win 8.1 or 10 joystick and throttle disconnects in P3D, especially with Saitek products, this could be for you. I stumbled across a cure that, so far, has been absolutely, 100-percent effective. This works when disabling selective suspend in device manager does not. It works when changing power settings in Control Panel does not. It works when the problem presents itself in Windows 8.1 OR 10. Here goes. Search the registry for this string, EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled=1, where the device it refers to corresponds to a joystick, pedals, throttle quadrant and so on. Change it to read EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled=0 Reboot. Smile. Bear in mind, though, this needs to be redone every single frickin' time you upgrade Windows, as the Windows install stomps on those Registry keys. Sorry "resets them to the 'proper' values." Hope this settles it once and for all
  13. I am using Windows 7 for FSX. I have been trying to fix my Saitek-Logitech radio panel/ multi panel issues for a very long time! The folks at Logitech recommended I uninstall the current panel plugins and install the new ones from their site. I did not see an option to uninstall the plugins in the Saitek folder. I went into the Programs and Features area on my computer and uninstalled the Saitek software for the radio and multi panels. I then downloaded the FSX_Plugin_x64_Software_8.0.144.0 software for the panels and the Flight_Panels_x64_Software software for the panels' test page. The new downloaded test page is showing that both panels are working fine. However, both panels are now totally blank and nonoperational when I start FSX! Is there something missing here....?
  14. This problem has really been bothering me for a long time. I have tried basically everything in the book to solve it. When I switch tasks in flight, say to check vpilot or go to chrome, my controller resets and causes fsx not to read it anymore. I tried porting it through FSUIPC and the same problem occured. I've gone through device manager(making sure it doesn't cut off for power saving), and did the same thing in control panel. I have run fsx in compatability mode, still no luck. When I check fsuipc anything to do with the yoke disappears. I've updated the drivers on saitek, and the problem is still there. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with vas because whenever I go into a high end scenery area or I use a heavy payware aircraft it tends to happen more often. It's literally making it impossible to fly because I can't seem to go through a flight without this problem occuring. Sometimes I don't even need to do a task switch to get this to trigger, the yoke itself will just blip on and off and fsx will stop reading the yoke. This also happens with almost all my other joysticks as well. The only way I know about fixing it is by switching between fullscreen and windowed mode a ton of times, but that only works to a point. I am completely at a loss of what to do next. I've heard its a common problem with windows 8, but I still have no idea how to solve it.
  15. Hi all, Wondering if someone might be able to help because I am getting no response on the Saitek/Logitech website at the moment. I have had a Saitek throttle quadrant for a few months now and it has worked perfectly well for me. I thought I would up my game for twins and get the Pro Flight Yoke so I had the two quadrants and a new yoke to replace joystick. When I installed the new yoke it recognised it in the driver installation software but then when I plugged in my old quadrant into the hub on the yoke it caused the old quadrant to cycle connect/disconnect with the green light going off and the windows USB Connect/Disconnect chimes sounding. I tried playing with different USB ports to no avail so thought I would reinstall. Now I can't even get the yoke to light up unless I leave it plugged in and reboot, in which case as their are no drivers installed the display clock shows zeros and it isn't functional. If I start the driver installation process when, I get to the point where I have to plug in the yoke, it is not recognised and the 'next' button is greyed out. Windows however tried install a generic USB hub but that never seems to complete. So if I then try and reinstall my trusty old Yoke it won't be recognised either so that is now out of service. I plug it in when prompted and the driver software won't recognise it and the thing keeps cycling disconnect/connect. I have deleted drivers, deleted the registry entries, tried different USB ports, tried straight into PC and also into my powered USB hub. Nothing at all seems to work anymore. Does anyone have any ideas? All my other non Saitek USB devices are working just fine! Many thanks for taking the time to read this!
  16. Hello you all, After lovely 6 years with the great Saitek Rudder Pedals, once I had landed suddenly there was a "Click" sound from it. It felt like the left pedal lost its spring. So when I opened it, there was a spring not in his place, and a broken hook shape plastic. After a quick exam of the situation I understood that I have to find a new part: The part who connect between the spring and the potentiometer. There are photos of the rudder and the broken hook. If someone, please, can help me find the part. there is no spare parts shop for Saitek. If I have to, I'll pay for it. Thank you very much.
  17. Hi, Is there any way to configure the roll axis of any of the saitek or ch product yokes for a 1:1 motion? I know that these yokes have a 45 deg motion on either side which translates to a 90 deg motion on either side in the sim. For example, at the leftmost point in the hardware (at 45deg), I want the sim to also translate to a 45 deg left. I realize that I will not have the full range of motion, but is it possible to do this? Basically I want the yoke to behave like the Cessna pro flight yoke with 1:1 motion (which is no longer in production I think) but of course with the inevitable physical restriction to 45deg on either side. I fly both X-plane 11 and FSX:SE. I will prefer a software solution to a hardware solution, but I'm open to both. Thanks, Asmit
  18. I have P3d V3.4, I have been flying with P3d now for about 3 years. I am using the Saitek Pro-Yoke, (2) quadrants and rudder pedals. Up until yesterday I have had no problems with calibrating them or setting their sensitivity. The problem now is any movement forward on the throttles and they jump to 100% and retarding them back to the detent brings them into reverse, Then the right (#2) throttle sticks in reverse thrust. Its 100% or nothing. I've tried to re calibrate them, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the throttles, and drivers. No luck. I can run FSX and they work perfectly. I plugged my old X52pro throttle in and assigned it in P3d and it calibrates and works perfectly. Everything else that i have assigned on the throttle quadrants, flaps, spoilers, prop axis all continue to work fine. I'm frustrated to say the least. I could use any help and or suggestions to get this sorted out. Thank you.
  19. Please sticky if possible. I created a video that shows step by step how to fix the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke dead zone issue. This is a hardware fix using the Leo Bodnar BU0836A joystick board. Please view, like, share. You will love your Saitek again. Enjoy!
  20. I recently bought a Saitek pedals and yoke (Pro Flight, not Cessna) setup to get back into FSX (it has been quite a while and my old joystick won't Z-axis anymore). I'm noticing that I can't seem to get the yoke to perform evenly for rolls (X-Axis I think). At first, it had a big deadzone (not configured, but in practice) to the left. I had to rotate left about 15 degrees before anything would start happening. Rolling right worked A-OK. So, I did the Saitek registry fix to recalibrate. Now it is improved, but there still seems to be a bit of a center deadzone that isn't defined but is at least close-ish to centered now. There also seems to be a bit of deadzone at either end. I've seen the internal gearing and that all seems to move OK, so I guess I'm asking this: Is this likely a hardware issue with the yoke's sensor (at least for the extreme far side dead zones)? Is it still just configuration trouble? Would it be worth the investment to license FSUIPC to use its calibration facility? I'd like to hold off on that for a while if possible, unless it will fix this (just spent all that other money on hardware this month!). I feel like the issue is kinda making my maneuvers less smooth since I don't know exactly when the flight controls will actually kick in. I searched around, but didn't find this exact issue. If it's already out there, can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks!
  21. Hello, I have an FSX configuration with Saitek radios programmed with SPAD & FSUIPC and the Reality XP GNS430 mounted on the A2A C172 panel. I would like to use some of the knobs/buttons on the Saitek radio to control the knobs (when navigating it, not just to change frequencies) and buttons of the GPS: - on/off - CDI - enter is it possible? cheers
  22. Well I'm just about pulling what's left of my hair out. My Saitek yoke and pedals were working ok when I made the mistake of trying to update the drivers (Madcatz) The installer got as far as telling me to plug in the yoke, I did, nothing. The 'NEXT' button just won't enable. I tried uninstalling the current drivers and that made things worse. Windows 10 wouldn't even start. I've managed to get into Windows now but if I plug in the yoke then unplug it Windows hangs. The display on the front of the yoke is now showing 'FrlrLc' which, I'm sure is not right. So now: Can't use the yoke, can't uninstall old drivers fully, can't install new drivers. In Windows device manager I press 'update drivers', it seems to find them but tells me there is a problem and can't install them and points me in the direction of the manufacturer (no help there then). ANY help on assisting me to sort this out would be most appreciated. TIA BR
  23. So, I've had the Saitek X-56 Rhino for a while, and it's worked without problems, until about a week ago. Neither the stick or trottle quadrant is working in P3D at the moment, but the wierd thing is it's working in the Saitek program. I've tried most of the usual stuff like changing USB port, I've also done a troubleshooting in Windows, with no results. I am using FSUIPC 4 and I have disabled my controllers in P3D. Very wierd problem, seems like it should be an easy fix. Thanks in advance /Fred
  24. Hello everybody, I spent some time trying to figure out the best way to assign trimming small aircraft (A2A Cessna 172 in this case). This is my setup: - Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Throttle Quadrant - Saitek Rudder Pedals - P3D v4.1 - FSUIPC 5 registered - all controls and calibrations assigned through it... I tried using the mouse wheel (that's an option in FSUIPC) but that way I couldn't turn knobs like radios, indoor light using the mouse wheel... Then I tried to assign one of the yoke buttons, the one that you operate with left thumb. That kind of works but I feel like it's moving too slow for my needs. For example when I'm on approach in the A2A 172 and set the 1st notch of flaps, the nose goes up ridiculously (am I missing something?) and I have to hold the button for 10 good seconds to trim the plane right. My question is, how do you guys manage your trimming? I know that there is a piece of hardware that does the job, but I don't feel like spending $70 on a plastic wheel. Or is it worth it? For me, it means 10 hours of work in my country. Any tip / advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Tomas.
  25. LINDA support for Saitek Panels works in one of 2 ways. GUI Integration - This is the faster option but is restricted to default (FSUIPC offset) functions only. To setup, select LINDA Setup and tick Saitek Panels and then select Joystick Setup and disable the Radio and Multi Panels (the Switch Panel should be enabled). Then press CTRL+ALT+R to reload LINDA. All Multi and Radio Panels operate pre-defined functions for AP, flaps and radio. The user needs to assign function to the Switch Panel based on the guide in the release notes included with the LINDA download. Some aircraft specific functions can be assigned. LUA Integration - This is slower to respond to user inputs. All functions are implemented in LINDA LUA as assigned using the release note default assignments. To Setup, select LINDA Setup and untick Saitek Panels and then select Joystick Setup and ensure all the Saitek Panels are enabled (ticked). The press CTRL_ALT_R to reload LINDA. Whenever LINDA starts or is restarted, it is essential that at least one switch/knob is operated to ensure that the current panel state is actioned for the loaded aircraft. Otherwise, it is possible that unusual and unexpected actions can happen in flight (for example, the engines could cut when the landing gear is raised. With Saitek Panels ticked in LINDA Setup, the LEDs cycle to remind the user to do this. The current LINDA implementation is limited to standard default settings using the FSUIPC offsets. It does not work with more advanced aircraft like PMDG, Aerosoft Airbus and Majestic Q400. Further work is planned this winter to solve this shortfall. If you use Spad or SpadNext then it is important that all LINDA Saitek panels are disabled and the Saitek Panel option is turned off.
