  1. For a few years now I have been using Logitech Pro Flight Rudder Pedals and have never been really happy with them and, despite hours of experimentation over that period, the input sensitivity is either too little of too much. So I decided to start looking around to invest in a more expensive set of pedals with hopefully a much more realistic response, similar to what I remember from my private flying days. Somewhat naturally I quickly found myself checking out Virtual Fly's Ruddo rudder pedals, which I am sure is an excellent unit, but the EUR 895 + airfreight price tag was a bit too frightening for me. So after a bit more investigation I came across a set of rudder pedals called MFG Crosswind and then found a review by Dslyecxi, a legend in Arma 3 helicopter flying, where in the sub title he stated 'A review of the best word not allowed rudder pedals I've ever owned'. https://youtu.be/xh_5keOriIo With a price of about half of the Ruddo pedals at EUR 450 + airfreight and after viewing Dslyecxi's review, I decided to take the chance and purchase the MFG Crosswind pedals. The package arrived a few days ago and have been using them constantly since then and any problems I had previously have now completely disappeared, the response now is not only near perfect, but there are endless options for adjustment both in hardware and software, though I have not had to use any of those features, I just assembled the unit, plug it in and ran a simple configuration program. The reason for adding this topic is not only to share how impressed I am with these new rudder pedals, but also to make the community aware of this alternative, as I could not find any mention of this hardware option in any of the flight sim sites I regularly visit
  2. Anyone in here using Logitech G940 with X-plane? I'm an FSX user and just recently tried the latest Demo verison of X-Plane 11 but my G940 is not recognized. When I go into the settings to calibrate, the only thing I'm aloud to do is configure pitch and roll for my joystick. Throttle and rudder equipment's are not recognized. Furthermore, the axis for roll does what the pitch is supposed to do and vice versa. Any ideas or fixes?
  3. I am using Windows 7 for FSX. I have been trying to fix my Saitek-Logitech radio panel/ multi panel issues for a very long time! The folks at Logitech recommended I uninstall the current panel plugins and install the new ones from their site. I did not see an option to uninstall the plugins in the Saitek folder. I went into the Programs and Features area on my computer and uninstalled the Saitek software for the radio and multi panels. I then downloaded the FSX_Plugin_x64_Software_8.0.144.0 software for the panels and the Flight_Panels_x64_Software software for the panels' test page. The new downloaded test page is showing that both panels are working fine. However, both panels are now totally blank and nonoperational when I start FSX! Is there something missing here....?
  4. Just purchased chaseplane. It crashes randomly (after a couple of minutes) when I have my logitech extreme 3d pro joystick plugged in. Any ideas? Here are the exceptions in event viewer: Application: ChasePlane.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException at SlimDX.DirectInput.Joystick.GetCurrentState(SlimDX.DirectInput.JoystickState ByRef) at SlimDX.DirectInput.Joystick.GetCurrentState() at OP_Janet_Library.CP_Inputs.Device_JoystickInput(System.Threading.AutoResetEvent, System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2<System.String,System.Object>) at DynamicClass.CallSite.Target(System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Closure, System.Runtime.CompilerServices.CallSite, OP_Janet_Library.CP_Inputs, System.Object, System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2<System.String,System.Object>) at OP_Janet_Library.CP_Inputs+<>c__DisplayClass122_0.<GenerateJoystickList>b__1() at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart_Context(System.Object) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.RunInternal(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object, Boolean) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object, Boolean) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(System.Threading.ExecutionContext, System.Threading.ContextCallback, System.Object) at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart() I am on p3d v4, windows 10. Have tried uninstalling joystick driver and software and reinstalling as well as chase plane, but no luck.
  5. Well, I successfully installed MFS into a separate user account to avoid conflicts with P3D and everything went fine. However, I appear to be at an impasse because a while back I modified my Logitech yoke to be more accurate (which it is) and with less resistance (which it does). MSF recognizes the BU0836-LC controller chip that I installed, but it has no idea what to do with it! Ah, the dangers of hot-rodding to non-spec configurations... 🙂 I guess I am okay, though - I was accepted as a Fulcrum yoke early-access customer, and with the Honeycomb Bravo unit going live for pre-orders in September, I think I can wait. Before I crashed because I overshot the runway @ KRHV with no elevator control I was impressed with MSF. It did an excellent job of mapping the airport and surroundings, had a undulating runway, and the DA-62 was very nice looking. Slow, but nice looking.
