  3. Hello, I was wondering if anyone is having this problem, the program hangs and crashes when I try to change the airport! I have the latest version running on Windows 10, P3D. Thanks
  4. Hey guys, after the release of the sharklets by FSL I was happy to have a EFB. But on tests it crashs or better simply closes. Sometimes it says "P3Dv4 need to close there was a problem searching for windows solution" and sometimes simply nothing. Below I copy you the crash log but I saw ucrtbase.dll and error code c0000409. I updated Visual Studio and run sfc /scannow (from a command prompt). No result. The thing is that it seems all rest is working good also the FSL normal airbus is flying and doing good and a small flight. Also PMDG and standard planes. When removing the sharklets also it works fine. So the problem is with the sharklets. I read some reports with v5 but they did not help me as I'm using v4.5. I also have not installed anything as I was longer time not home and came back after the release. So the "test" of the airbus was the first thing after some month. Crash log:
  5. Hello all, I just returned to XP 11.02 after 3 very frustrating days with 11.05r2. First, my system - ASUS G752 gaming laptop with i7 7777 and 16GB with nVidia 1070 with 8GB. It allows me to run with everything maxed out. My plugins are xEnviro, PlaneCommand (tell your copilot to make adjustments to the plane), various small Lua scripts, and Pilot2ATC. That last one isn't really a plugin, but a stand alone program that communicates with XP via XPUIP. I also use at times VfrFlight which communicates with XP via a network address. THE PROBLEM: I set up my flightplans with Pilot2ATC and transfer them to the GPS in the plane. P2A also has a moving map, so I minimize it when I am using the plane and call it up over XP from time to time to see the map. After the newest beta came out, XP start crashing after a while into a flight. The trigger for this was always bringing P2A up on the screen. XP would suddenly give me the little dialog box "XP cannot continue..." and then close. The log.txt did not reveal anything interesting. It was reporting normal events and then suddenly "XP has crashed" without any reasons why. Opening P2A was the cause, although VfrFlight would also do it to a lesser extent. At times, instead of crashing XP, P2A would get sluggish, display a black map, or crash totally. Mostly XP crashed. I could really force more rapid crashes by using a more complex airplane. The Eclipse 550 has a very complex navigation system with SASL and Lua scripts galore. It takes forever to load. When I use this plane, the crashes are much more frequent. I can fly the Aerosphere Arrow IV turbo for quite a while before crashing and the same with the Carenado Mooney. But the result is the same. I contacted AeroBask, makers of the Eclipse and they confirm that there have been many problems with the new beta - suggesting return to 11.02. So today, I went back to 11.02r2 and just finished a very long flight without the slightest hiccup. I filed a bug report with LR, but mention it here in case someone else has had a similar experience.
  6. Hello, some days ago I installed all PMDG v4 aircrafts new on my laptop. Scince this, the sim doesn't start anymore... It shows the main picture of P3D but when it tries to open the main menu, the picture is gone and there is nothing. The Task Manager tells me, the sim, SODE and courtal are running but it isn't shown in the Task Line too! I've reinstalled PMDG and AS16, I've even already reinstalled my P3D and the same problem... Under troubleshooting it shows me "Failed to connect". Please help me! Win 10 i7-5700HQ SSD128G GTX970
  7. I recently upgraded to windows 10 and have the latest creator update, I just installed Flight and the latest toolkit but for some reason when I switch to to cockpit view, flight crashes, I have tried 3 different aircraft but same thing happens, I was thinking maybe I should uninstall toolkit and see if it does it without it but not sure if that's the way to go. I didn't try Flight before installing the toolkit but why remove the toolkit if it may not be the cause. If I removed the non GWFL install of toolkit do I just reinstall toolkit if I want to install the GWFL version? I don't remember where error logs for flight are kept? Also did multiplayer ever get pursuit with Toolkit is or that just not going to happen? I would appreciate any help.
  8. Hi, I have the Bundle PFPX + Topcat, but I'm having a problem. PFPX freezes all the time I try to set the Aircraft Performance File to integrate with Topcat. I made a video to show what's happening: https://youtu.be/6oDkdJldo54 Anyone had the same problem? Any idea how to solve it?

  10. Hello All I operate Windows 7 professional, with all updates. My desktop is an Aero theme. My operating system is on drive C, my P3Dv3.0 on drive F, and I have a backup, drive B, for P3D. I recently installed FSX Gold on drive B into a folder labeled "FSX". The only other files on drive B are the two files resulting from a Shadow Protect backup of the entire F drive. P3Dv3 operates fine. FSX launches OK, but when I launch the default flight, a warning pops up that says I have launched a program that is incompatible with an aero theme; that Windows will temporarily change to the windows default, and revert to Aero when the program closes. FSX then hangs, and then closes, with the following event report: Problem Signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61637.0 Application Timestamp: 46fadb14 Fault Module Name: g2d.dll Fault Module Version: 10.0.61637.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 46fadb58 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0002c33d OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 Additional information about the problem: LCID: 1033 The same crash happens if I change my desktop to the Windows default before launching the FSX default flight, except that no "incompatible with aero" message shows up. it's been a few years since I ran FSX (miss some of the old goodies) and ask if anyone has any suggestions on a fix, or if I need to gather more information about the crash. Thanks a bunch.
  11. Hi, I've installed FSX and the Mindstar G1000 software on a friend's computer, like I did on my own. But when I start flying with the standard C172 with G1000, end my flight and then change to a standard FSX plane (Carenado Caravan), FSX gives a fatal error and crashes. I re-installed everything. When I don't install Mindstar, everything is fine and stays fine. As soon as I install the G1000, initially everything is fine, until I execute the above. I don't have this problem on my own computer, while this is the same kind of software/hardware, although the graphic card is different at least (Windows7 on a MacBook Pro via Bootcamp). Any one else experiencing this problem. Can Mindstar give me some support on this please? Regards, Reno
  12. Only FSX owners know how horrible it is when the fatal error window pops up... Even if the sum is not even running! When I install SP2 I can start it exactly 2 times and then I get a fatal error message on the start of FSX. I tried to download and paste the. Dll file, delete the. Cfg, the logbook.bin,... Any other solutions? Thanks guys
  13. I've had fsx with SP1 SP2 and acceleration running on my HP Envy with windows 8 fine for the past few months. There was some crashing at the start but it stopped after I did the UIAutomationcore.dll fix. Since then it was all fine, but then 2 days ago my PC did an annoying automatic update for windows 8. When i tried starting fsx, the start screen came up for about 3 mins then a fatal error message appeared. I've tried over and over again to fix it. I uninstalled addons i added right before this, updated my drivers, repaired acceleration, changed the folder permissions, and repeated the UIAutomationcore.dll fix in case it reset. NONE OF THEM WORKED. Many forums recommended a complete reinstall, but i have a huge amount of addons that i do not feel like reinstalling, too (plus many of them are hard to find again). On top of that, some people said reinstalling doesnt work, so i dont want to spend all that time just to find out fsx still crashes. I REPEAT: A REINSTALL IS THE LAST RESORT. To find out what was causing it i ran it with appcrashview, but i cant make sense of it (im not familiar with programming). Heres what i got: _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Version=1 EventType=BEX EventTime=130441324786139834 ReportType=2 Consent=1 UploadTime=130441324786764853 ReportIdentifier=d992ec3b-d7a4-11e3-bece-00c2c60072af IntegratorReportIdentifier=d992ec3a-d7a4-11e3-bece-00c2c60072af WOW64=1 Response.BucketId=22babecc860e0aba0a8becb8ad234190 Response.BucketTable=5 Response.LegacyBucketId=981331481 Response.type=4 Sig[0].Name=Application Name Sig[0].Value=fsx.exe Sig[1].Name=Application Version Sig[1].Value=10.0.61637.0 Sig[2].Name=Application Timestamp Sig[2].Value=46fadb14 Sig[3].Name=Fault Module Name Sig[3].Value=unknown Sig[4].Name=Fault Module Version Sig[4].Value=0.0.0.0 Sig[5].Name=Fault Module Timestamp Sig[5].Value=00000000 Sig[6].Name=Exception Offset Sig[6].Value=00650074 Sig[7].Name=Exception Code Sig[7].Value=c0000005 Sig[8].Name=Exception Data Sig[8].Value=00000008 DynamicSig[1].Name=OS Version DynamicSig[1].Value=6.3.9600.2.0.0.768.101 DynamicSig[2].Name=Locale ID DynamicSig[2].Value=1033 UI[2]=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe UI[3]=A fatal error occurred. 14. Hello, I am aware this is a recurring topic for many users. I have searched the last four days tirelessly on this forum, and another approximate 15 forums. I am having no luck. ISSUE: When loading FS9 it gets to the Splash Screen then stays there. I have to CTL ALT DEL out of it to stop the program. This happened 4 days ago. I exited the program because I was upating some scenery files in my library (again nothing that was a new addition that the program had not had before at some previous point) and I exited the program and when I went to start it up it just stayed at the splash screen. Sometimes it will load the scenery files then freeze, other times it will just freeze right away. I have tried the following things: System Restore Read and tried all of these suggestions from MS http://support.microsoft.com/kb/837195 Verified DirectX is up-to-date and not missing files Checked for problems with my NVIDIA Card and tried to update it but was unable to. Deleted/Replaced/Renamed FS9.CFG Attempted to modify some of the entries in the FS9.cfg that were previously reccomended. Tried the NO CD replacement of FS9.exe, that one cant find the program. Tried the flight1 registry repair but it cannot find my FS9.exe. I know where it is, the repair tool can't find it. Tried doing a hard boot in safe mode on my computer. Used the event viewer to try and see what is going on and it has numeruous DLL file error reports. No new software was added anytime near the vicinity of the start of this crash. Also the most recent add-on items worked fine for several weeks up to the crash. Other Items of Note: Re-installing is not an option for me. I can't find the other 3 disks anywhere. For some reason I am now getting a message that "Weather.dll is not working properly but other features will be available, the following feature will be disabled". - Still after getting the weather.dll message above, it just stays on the permanent splash screen like normal. I am SO desperate for help here. I don't know what to do. As I said before, I don't know where my other 3 discs are to re-install the game. If I had them I would have re-installed from scratch without a second thought. I know this sounds crazy and lame but this game has been such a huge part of my life the last 9-10 years and I can't imagine what I am going to do not being able to play it anymore. It's extremely depressing. Every night when I get home from work at the airport I go straight to FS9 and start up a flight. I AM BEGGING SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!
  15. So when I start FSX from either my start menu or in the FSX Root folder as soon as the start screen pops up it says Microsoft Flight Sim Has stopped working. NOte that this is a new freshly installed copy of FSX Gold Edition and its legal i actually payed for it, not a torrent. There are no addons in the FSX root folder but what i did notice is in the, AppData>Roaming>Microsoft>FSX. there are only 3 files. I tried Repairing fsx with the CD but it didnt work. Please help!! The Three Files in the AppData folder are : dll.xml fsx.cfg navlog0 (Chrome HTML)
  16. Hello again. I am unsure how to isolate this problem. Simply put, FS2004 has started crashing as of a month ago, and it's really annoying. Before attempting to reinstall all of FS2004, I tried to isolate the problem in these ways: -Attempted to see if the crash only occurs at certain airports. -I concluded at one point that DFW landings were a problem, but then I started crashing at other airports, or at cruise altitude, and after taking off from DFW (as opposed to just landings). -Attempted to see if the crash only occurs with certain aircraft. -I use SGA's American Super 80. I attempted to see if the problem had to do with the FSSound module (apparently this was a problem for another user at one point), but the simulator still crashed when I used the MD90. -AI traffic....this is a tough one to test. I'm using WOAI traffic. I flew with over 50 virtual airlines installed for 2 months without a problem. -Potential problem (untested): Using medium-high-ultra high quality for most features (I can specify if you would like). I am using a FS2004 disk that I bought in April 2014 (used) which worked in perfect condition until a month ago. I have a Windows 8 computer. Any other tips that could help me isolate what's causing the simulator to crash?
  17. Hello, on today flight to EGLL i was approaching Great Britian when the black screen has appeared. I've windowed fs and then put it back to full screen... black screen wasn't there any more but textures were blurry and some even missing, also sound wasn't running. Shortly after that fs has crashed with classic "The application has encountered...". I know it already has been here on forum but no solution. Is there any? Thanks. EDIT : Yeah and it was for the second time.
  18. Hi, I have just bought a new Dell inspiron 15r (unfortunately with defaulted windows 8) and have installed FSX on it, but notice it keeps crashing whenever I start, load, save or end a flight when I've crashed the plane. I have installed the 2sp's for FSX but that hasn't fixed the problem. I have also updated win 8 to 8.1 but that still hasn't fixed the problem. I only use Just Flight 742s, 743s, 332s, 333s, 342s, 343s, and md80s and have no freeware planes taken out. All of the settings except graphics and aircraft quality are at absolute minimal! How do I fix this? (BTW I also have an unused Win 7 Dell XPS Gaming Laptop that's currently at the repair shop 'cause of some hard drive difficulty. Specs: Dell inspiron 15r Windows 8.1 8gb ram radeon graphics i7 intel proccessing chip
  19. Hi folks, Yesterday I did a repair installation for FSX (with the disks). Now when I start FSX it chrashes after a few seconds. It says: 'a fatal error has occurred.' And after that it says 'FSX has stopped working.' I don't have time to reinstall FSX and ALL the addons. Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling FSX completely? kind regards, Jorrit..

  21. I have recently built a computer for fsx. FSX installed correctly, but wont let me open it. When I try to open it gives me an error about directx (I'll post the error below). I have updated my drivers and directx and still no luck. I am running Windows 7-64bit and a GTX 760. Please help. Thanks!
  22. I recently Updated my laptop to Windows 8.1 (64Bit) and FSX has been crashing since. The only addons I have installed are the PMDG 737NGX, Aerosoft Airbus X Extended, and FSDreamTeam GSX. My PC Specs are Posted Below: Processor: AMD A8 4500M Quad core 1.9GHZ, Turbo Boost to 2.86GHZ Ram: 8GB 6MB L3 Cache Graphics: AMD Radeon HD7640G + HD7670M Dual Graphics, Dedicated Video memory is 2560MB Normally, When starting up, i am able to pull about 40FPS on direct X 9 mode. But it crashes to desktop within about 5 minutes. Direct X 10 mode allows it to stop crashing, but the FPS reduces to about 10-15. I have tried the UIAutomationCode.dll fix, and that did not work for me. I have even reinstalled FSX and that did not help either. Please help me out!
  23. Hi all! Whenever I try to play FSX after about a minute it crashes saying it ran out of memory. I didn't used to do this. Just in the past few weeks. Computer Specs: Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.00GHz 4096MB of Ram(~4GB) 750 GB HD with 132 GB remaining Any help?
  24. Hello everybody ! I know that you've already seen this kind of problem more than once, but i really tried a lot of things with this one, and nothing has actually solved my problem. It would be very kind of you if you could help me with it ! I hope it will be helpfull ! So let's start this story ! I bought the 737NGX from PMDG one year ago, and since that day, nothing is the same. I fly on IVAO since a long time (2005) and my FSX never crashed before. 90% of my flights with the NGX crashed during the descent, in final approach or in cruise. These crashes simply stop my FSX with a CTD, then "FSX doesn't respond anymore" and eventually, I have to close it myself, by ending the process. This usually happens when I try to do something in the Virtual Cockpit, while i'm preparing the descent. As said above, I have already tried a LOT of things and tweaks and I made a list : - uiautomationcore.dll - FSUIPC install (http://forum.avsim.net/topic/355100-g3ddll-workaroundfix-to-prevent-fsx-crashes/) - Install and run FSX and NGX as an admin - Format my disk and do a clean Windows 7 64bits and FSX installation - Use the NGX without any other add-on So after a long time of research, I'm asking myself if it could be a problem with my Hardware, but my PC is not that bad, I think. I will post my config and my fsx.cfg this afternoon. As for the APPCRASH event, I will post it ASAP. A friend also told me that my FSX Installation CD could be corrupted and installs not correctly the sim. Do you think this is possible ? Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you need ! I really hope you will help me to solve that big problem of mine, because the NGX is a great add-on and because I really miss flying smooth and stable ! Thanks in advance for your help and I wish you all a good day ! Grégory Scyboz
  25. Hey Flight simmers. Seeing as I've almost solved my OOM issue with the PMDG 737NGX this thought came to mind. I bought FsPassengersX a while ago and I tried to use it with the PMDG. After about a couple seconds: Fatal error. I followed the guide shown at http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/read.php?f=2&i=30169&t=30169 but I couldn't get ahold of Brian York so the guide was only partly helpful. I need ways on how to get FsPassengersX working with the PMDG and preferably with the Mini Display active. Thanks, and have fun simming!
