  1. Hello, I am gettind CTD usign Flight Crew with MSFS2020 and A32NX. Only them, as I had some ideas what was the cause of it, so I tested sim only with these addons enabled: CTD message CTD Text: I know, that it caused by Net Framework, so I did, what was written in this topic: Plus I checked Net Framework in Windows 10 and restore it's files, then updated to lates version. In normal OPS from A to B it seems, that everything is fine, at leaste I did a couple of flights without CTD. But if you Go Around, CTD happense after a random time, even if you don't currently goint through any checklists. 3 flight - all CTD with NET Framework. As I run out of ideas how to fix it, so writing to this forum for advices.
  2. I've found that even with the most up to date Community addons, I'm still having CTD's with the latest Asobo update. I renamed my Community folder and ran the sim and it was fine. But that's not fine with me because addons are what makes the sim. Aside from removing my 100+ addons and slowly restarting the sim to test...anyone found a good way to see what addons could be causing CTD's?

  4. Just got the v5 ready to run. Everything works on v4. V5 keep Crashing after loading screen is finished at 100%. Also something strange is happening every start of the app makes the sim generate scenery things ( I can't recall the name sorry ). Everything is out of the box. Regards S.
  5. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to mention something that may or may not have been brought up before. I've been getting P3D stopped working errors in all versions in Windows 10 if I was using the Aerosoft Airbus and tried to change airports through the menu. I also would get crashes at times if I fiddled with the FMC inflight. I did a fresh install and the problem happened again. The source of the problem, in my case, was that I had the wrong box ticked in the Airbus configurator. There's a choice between what navdata to use: Navigraph or Nav Data Pro. Make sure to check the right one if you are using one of these products. Just thought someone would like to know... John
  6. Hello, I've been battling a fatal error in FSX caused by a panels.dll module failure. I have googled and tried many things before resorting to posting a new topic but I'm stumped and could really use some help. The CTD seems to only happen with the A2A C172 but here are the details from my event view. Any help would be great, Thanks! 7. Hi All, I have been flying the 747 v3 since its release without any hiccups and loving every second of it, until ... Over the last two flights I have done, I have had a CTD of the "FSX has stopped working and now needs to close" type. Both had one thing in common: both crashes happened upon retraction of flaps from 10 to 5. No hardware involved (using "F6" key to retract). The crashes seem to happen mere seconds after pressing the "F6" key ... I can hear the sound of the handle clicking into position and as soon as there is flap movement ... boom, CTD. Worst part about this is that at both times it's like the maximum level of immersion in the sim has been reached ... heartbreaking! :-) Any ideas? Thanks
  8. Hello fellow flight fans, Firstly, I'm new around here, and please let me know if I am in breach of any rules which I may have missed. Also, I do apologise if this is the wrong section. Now, I recently bought FSX on Steam to re-ignite my love of aviation, but I have ran into a problem. I've installed a few freeware mods, and installed the REX 4 DLC. I also have a joystick set up, with drivers installed. However, after about a week since purchase/12 hours of gameplay, I can now longer start up a flight. I can start FSX, use the menu and what not, but as soon as I start a flight I incur a CTD, and a beefy 'fatal issue' message. Can I note that I'd been running the game in the exact same state, nothing changed for the last couple of days, not installing anything. I have also updated a lot of my drivers. After searching through a few things, it revealed that the kernelbase.dll file was to blame. However, after trying multiple different fixes, including the UIAutomationCore.dll fix, and the AMD Gaming Evolved fix, I am left at square one. I'd like to try avoiding a complete re-install, as that would be painstaking, but I'll do whatever it takes. On a final note, I've run a Windows install check, and it revealed no issues, so it shouldn't be an issue with the OS itself. Thankyou in advance for your time and assistance, -Jacob Specs are as follows: i7 4790 3.4GHz AMD R9 380 4GB 16GB RAM (Samsung) 512GB Samsung 850 Pro (for OS and Steam itself) 2TB HDD (for Steam games, notably FSX)

  10. Last weekend I tried doing a flight between KMIA (MS default) and SACO in FS9 (default, reworked AFCAD, default terminal buildings added and photoreal ground textures I generated in SBuilder 2). Keeping with Murphy's law, I was getting a CTD just at approach. After checking with AppCrashView, I saw it was a StackHash error, for which the CTD guide did not give me the best hope. I was fearing a reformat... After trying again (I had just saved 30 NM before the airport), I ran Process Monitor along with FS9, until it crashed. After weeding out all the DLL crashes (every single DLL in FS9 reported buffer error), I found the culprit was a missing winter texture (it's winter in Southern Hemisphere). Turns out that I only generated summer and night textures (and autogen), and forgot to generate all other season bitmaps. After generating all season textures, I could land with no issue. Hope this helps when you see this type of CTD.
  11. Greetings from Norway! Before anyone shoots me down with friendly fire: I´ve posted this issue at the FS-labs developers forum, but figured I´ll try here as well! (Tried registering at the INS-developer forum, but the forum requires administrator approval, which I´m yet to receive.) I took the plunge last week, and bought the FSLabs Concorde X. I've spent a lot of hours at the gate, fiddling with the INS, completing all the steps in the tutorial, and yesterday I was ready to give it a go down the runway at Heathrow, as pr. the tutorial. However, the flight was cut frightenly short, and I never even made the first turn.. P3D froze, and after a few seconds dissapeard without a trace. In the event viewer i found this: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 3.1.2.15831, time stamp: 0x5672b60a Faulting module name: CIVAC.gau, version: 1.51.0.0, time stamp: 0x47017511 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00001990 Faulting process id: 0x1568 Faulting application start time: 0x01d1732123aa13f3 Faulting application path: E:\Prepar3D\Client\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: E:\Prepar3D\Client\civa\CIVAC.gau Report Id: 4eacfb3e-2b51-46a1-8f2a-ebaddd78b3f6 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: This is the first time, in a very long time, a CTD has presented itself in P3D. I've spent the last few hours trying to figure out what might cause the CIVA.gau to crash. ( And yes - I know the CIVA.gau is the core of the 3rd party INS-system.) What I've tried so far: 1. Re-download and re-install the INS-software. 2. Run P3D as administrator. 3. To make sure, I also granted my username access to all the P3D-program files etc. 4. Disable Panel Stretcing in p3d.cfg 5. Start the sim in Windowed mode. 6. Re-install as administrator 7. Vanilla p3d.cfg 8. No add on scenery. 9. Increased the Desktop Heap Limitation, as pr. the AVSIM CTD-guide. 10. Checked for driver updates. 11. Disabled overclock. The problem arises a few minutes after departure, after applying roll to either left or right. I've made a saved scenario at the beginning of the RW, and have tried loading "ready for takeoff" panel state, to see if it makes any difference, but it don't. I'm a rookie to the INS-simulation, and litterally have no clue what to try next:( My specs: HW: i7 3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5ghz @ 4.9 Custom Water Loop. 2x EVGA GTX 980 Classified SLi 16gb 2400mhz Kingston Memory 4x 256 GB Samsung 840 EVO SSDs 1x Dell 3440x1440 display. 1x Dell 2560x1440 display. SW: P3D 3.1 Windows 10 Nvidia 361.91 driver. Have any of you experienced a similar issue, and how did you go about resolving it? Best regards, Kristoffer
  12. Hi, Has anyone else noticed an occurrence or increase in CTDs since a recent Steam or FSX-SE update? Any time I have made any type of flight between airports recently I have got a CTD, and I noticed there was an update to FSX-SE not long ago. I didn't have any problems at all up until a week or so ago. Now I have had three CTDs in the past two days. I have been able to fly around different airports with no problem, but if I make a flight plan and travel between two airports I have been getting a CTD. Unfortunately the module that is supposedly the cause in Windows Event Viewer has been three different modules. First one was a PMDG Options dll (and I wasn't even using a PMDG aircraft), second one was the g3d.dll and I just had one now flying between Jersey and Guernsey (!!!) and the faulting module was the terrain.dll. All of the flights have been short (Jersey to Guernsey, Athens to Heraklion) and it seems to only be when I am approaching an airport after having flown a route with a (VFR) flight plan. I flew around Heraklion for around an hour the other day, making three or four touch and goes, and flying around the surrounding area, also making touch and goes at a nearby airport, with no problem. When I tried flying from Athens to Heraklion with a VFR flight plan I encountered a CTD when approaching Heraklion. I am stumped as the faulting module has been different every time. Has anyone else been encountering similar CTDs? Cheers,
  13. Hi all, Never thought I would be a victim of CTD but recently (started around 2 weeks ago) I have been experiencing P3D hangs after ~4 hours into my flight. The hangs are triggered by mouse clicking, on the PFD, ND, or just looking around with middle wheel. The hangs usually take place when I am about to (or has entered into) descend into my destination. Not too sure whether the hangs are caused by the descend, or the fact that I am approaching the 4 hours mark. Up until 2 weeks ago everything works flawlessly – this is what baffles me the most. Given I have no restore point saved, I have tried formatting my entire hard driver where the P3D is installed, deleting all P3D folders in all the places (AppData/Local, Appdata/Roaming, ProgramData…etc), and performed a clean reinstall for all software. For the first two hangs when it started happen I had these apps running: P3D v3.1 Latest version PMDG 777 FS2Crew v1.7 Latest version ASN FSUIPC v4.949f GSX v1.9 After the formatting and a clean reinstall, the first two hangs I had the same apps running as above, and in the last two hangs I had these: P3D v3.1 FS2Crew v1.7 Latest version ASN FSUIPC v4.949f To be honest I don’t think it was those apps that caused the hangs. I am suspecting it is more like conflicts between P3D/PMDG/Windows Update - because this is as far as I can recall if anything has changed between the hang/no hang situation. I will update my system spec later, but I am running P3D on Win7 SP1. Has anyone experienced the same recently? Really want to practice my landings
  14. Hi, I am using P3D 3.2 on a Win7 machine (4,5 GHz OVC, 16 GB RAM) with Nividia GTX 780 Ti with 3GB RAM. My old monitor was an ultra wide screen with 3440 x 1400, and I never had a CTD with this setup. Now I have upgraded to a 55 inch TV with 4K resolution, and experience a CTD after about 3-5 minutes of every flight, no matter which plane. I am using ORBX scenery. In the event log, the panels.dll is mentioned as the cause of the CTD. Would it help to upgrade to a better video card, lets say a GTX 980 Ti with 6 GB? Thanks, Thomas
  15. Hello. Recently I have been dealing wit P3D v3.1 freezing, hanging up, and then crashing to the desktop. This only happens when I use the windows key to select another application to use during a flight. I use Aivlasoft EFB, so it's virtually impossible for me to fly without doing so. I'm very confused about this issue as I haven't touched hardly any settings or installed new addons in quite some time, and I never used to have this issue. Below is my Event Viewer crash report: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 3.2.3.16769, time stamp: 0x56df48ce Faulting module name: g2d.dll, version: 3.2.3.16769, time stamp: 0x56df4993 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00209ae0 Faulting process id: 0x2ad0 Faulting application start time: 0x01d24d943b08eb4f Faulting application path: E:\Prepar3D v3\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: E:\Prepar3D v3\g2d.dll Report Id: 8ac9a9e7-b995-11e6-aa38-d0509968e0fc Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: The only thing I've done recently is began using PTA tool for some enhanced visuals. It's hard for me to believe this would be an issue because the faulting module is g2d.dll which if I remember correctly handles plain text messages and such. The problem is also difficult to recreate. I completed a 3 hour flight last night with PTA tool tweaks enabled and switching tasks as usual, but this morning it hung up and crashed after just switching over to the Aivlasoft EFB 3 or 4 times in an hour. Any advice is appreciated. Mark
  16. Hello I have been playing FSX SE for a while now and recently upgraded my PC significantly and have up until the last couple of weeks have been playing fine. It all started when the in game ATC would start repeating itself, or i'd crash when trying to change settings and calibrate controllers, and realised this was down to installing the HD freeware texture pack, so I got rid of that and bought REX 4. Before buying rex i thought i should do a clean install as the HD pack even though deleted was causing issues so I uninstalled it, and was notified by a third party program the FSX SE was causing issues in the registry and recommended i fix the issue, so i just clicked fix and watched registry files get deleted. I didnt think much of it at the time. When playing on a clean install, all mods installed and applied it was great, until about 30 mins into flights, some less some more the default ATC would get stuck like a broken record, just repeating the first sound of the letter such as "airbus" would be "a,a,a,a,a,a,a" and so on. It would repeat for a few minutes then the ATC would have no sound and just use the Text box which was fine. Then I would land the aircraft, and I have found that most times the crash occurs taxing off the runway, the screen would freeze and say not responding, however these freezes happen at the start, during and after landing. And also when trying to calibrate joystick in flight, the game crashes which was not there before installing the HD texture pack, although I have done about 6 or 7 clean installs so it cant be the HD pack thats affecting that? I looked in the event viewer and 9/10 times this is what I get: First error is Application error: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.62615.0, time stamp: 0x559f9a9a Faulting module name: XAudio2_4.dll_unloaded, version: 9.26.1590.0, time stamp: 0x49bebf9f Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0003a070 Faulting process id: 0x289c Faulting application start time: 0x01d252d4b86078f7 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: XAudio2_4.dll Report Id: 221d762f-33f0-4cc3-b597-97d8bc0f3d83 Faulting package full name: Second error is Application hang: The program fsx.exe version 10.0.62615.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. 17. Hello, I tried this figure out on my home forum, P3D forum, but nowhere no effective help yet. I am new user of Prepar3D, changing from FSX. And sorry for my english. Three days ago I installed Windows 10 on new SSD HDD, check or install drivers for HW and then the first application I installed was Prepar3D v3.3 (last version I could download). After install I start the sim and hit OK in the menu. I just wanted to look how it looks. No addons. Then loading started, and when the status bar reach 100%, the program froze there a little while and then crash. No message, no problem, just dissapeared. So I tried for at least 5 times, everytime the same situation. So I was checking event protocol during loading and there was no fault log (that one with the red exclamation mark and nothing else either), only some log where was marked prepar3d.exe as a faulting program, but no faulting module or other information. When I had a problem in FSX, the event protocol was the first thing I started to look what happened. Only once there was faulting module as facilities.dll, but in other 20+ tries to runup the simulation there was nothing. I really looked forward for new sim, better performance and first of all I need it for my bachelor thesis and the first experience with this sim I got is CTD, wich I have many times with FSX, that so sad. I asked on this on P3D forum, but no effective advice for this time. http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=119573 Here are the things I tried to figure it out without effect: Changing planes, locations, time Delete Prepar3D.cfg Added AffinityMask = 84 and erase path in Situation=... (see this on the other topic with same problem: http://www.avsim.com/topic/443954-p3d-will-not-start/) Repair the program Reinstall the program Updating all drivers I have Made sure that my primary graphics is my nVidia and not the motherboard adapter. (I cannot simple disable it, in my BIOS is only option for setting one of them to primary. The other one will be disable automaticly. I dont know if there is any other option. I have ASRock B75 Pro3-M). My desktop machine: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Intel Core i7-2600 3.40 GHz 16 GB RAM nVidia GTX 960 I please for any advice. Thank you for your help, have a nice day. Jiri

This usually only happens at the end of a long flight, when taxing in. Any suggestions? I have looked at the CTD guide, I have built a new cfg, but no fix. Thanks, 1251452
  19. FSX used to work consistently but now crashes on start up resulting in the screen size increasing then decreasing in a constant loop.Occasionally can fly for a minute after restarting but crashes again and again. I have updated RAM and Graphics card with no resolution as well as reinstalled software. Any help appreciated.
  20. I'm a little stumped here, P3dv4 runs great unless I try to originate a flight out of TNCM. If I do I get a ctd - scenery loads to 100% then the sim just sits there with the message that P3d has stopped. I am using the stock P3d scenery. The only recent additions to my sim were to buy and install FlyTampa's CYYZ and the Carenado B1900 HD. I can't see how either of these would have an effect. But, hey you never know. Other scenery, both stock and add on seem to work fine. Any ideas? Kevin
  21. Hi, I have been using PSXseeconTraffic for the past few weeks, and it has been my favorite addon! Unfortunately, however, my sim, FSX: SE, has been crashing since I've used it lately. When I don't run PSXseeconTraffic, the Sim does not crash, so I would assume there is an issue with that software. What could I do to fix this? Sometimes, I just position a plane at a gate, and watch the planes fly and taxi! Any help you can provide is appreciated. Regards, Kevin Davis
  22. Hello! As the title suggests i need help with some wierd problems. i have enjoyed fsx steam for 3700 hours. After a fresh reinstall of FSX STEAM i have been experincing crashes 15 to 10 minutes into the flight, and i dont have any autogen/3d objects(buildings, trees, etc). I reinstalled because of the no autogen/3dobjects. but even on a fresh install and no addons, no tweaks in the CFG and anything else didn´t touch the settings, i get the crashes 15 to 10 minutes into flight (NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE even with addons and tweaked cfg) and oddly enough no 3d/autogen objects. Please help i am quite lost here. I have tried the UIautomationcore.dll thing and compatibility mode setting in proberties. I have reinstalled multiple times today to no avail, i am quite sad over here! Any help would be usefull! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pictures taken at friday harbour with default settings, cfg and no addons. http://imgur.com/z6l4Nad http://imgur.com/KSuXY24 http://imgur.com/8sot3In ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Regards Oscar!
  23. Hi there, well after fresh install of p3d.3.4 and all addons, there is time for testing. 3 tests without problem (average 7h duration, on PMDG738), then tongiht, 4th trial and baam - CTD. Checked the error log and that's what was there: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 3.4.9.18400, time stamp: 0x57d9b14e Faulting module name: SimConnectP3D3.dll_unloaded, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x571e4e28 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x13d41eb0 Faulting process id: 0x21e4 Faulting application start time: 0x01d22fd9dc19f48f Faulting application path: E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: SimConnectP3D3.dll Report Id: 117c0380-9c01-11e6-9f34-74d435e2a771 Now, what could cause that? I've the latest FSUIPC and fresh installs of next addons/programs: AS16+softclouds, ORBX base+vector, ezdok, accufeel, rwy bumping effect, fscaptain, ivap and acars. The error occured after 7 hours of flight with PMDG738 on holding above LEPA (added aerosoft's airport). So, what to do? Thanks for help..
  24. Since updating to P3D 3.3.5, 777 CTD on final approach and landing whenever A/T or A/P are disabled and inputs are made on the joystick or throttle. 737NGX works correctly and 777 autoland works as well. Manual inputs from takeoff up to final approach are not a problem. All software and drivers are the latest available. System: i7-5930K 4.1GHz, 32 G memory, 2x GTX 980 in single GPU mode on two monitors WIn10 14905 (although this problem does not seem to be Win10 version specific - has occurred on all Win10 versions from release of P3D). Saitek X52Pro with 7.0.53.6 drivers AS16 MyTraffic 6.0A ProATCX on separate computer AppCrash shows the fault modules as being either StackHash_e70a or PMDG_777X.dll. I have the detailed AppCrash dumps and a saved approach that reliably crashes during final. Thanks, Dave P.S. Can someone help me with how to paste text, etc. on AvSim? I cannot make it work. I'm using IE11.1. Must be a setting I'm missing.
  25. Hallo I've had this CTD for 5 or six times always after around 5 hrs... I have researched a lot of topics and haven't found a soltution for that :( Comes apparently often before.
