Hi Everyone! We'd like to anounce a release of TerraBuilder FSX, an easy-to-use Photo Realistic scenery designer for FSX. It is geared towards assembly of pre-downloaded sequence of photo realistic images into one coherent scenery, as opposed to using one large image as a source. It is perfect for creating small, localised, high-resolution sceneries of airports, urban areas, landmarks etc. FSX is payware, but the unregistered version lets you create a single-image scenery (up to 2880x2880 pixels including water and blend masks) so you can freely try and decide for yourself. Also, unregistered app is fully featured, but it will save only a single image and its masks. Check it out at www.terrabuilder.com - there is a complete, clear manual and a tutorial available for download, to quickly get you started on photorealistic scenery design on FSX. Cheers, Misho

Dear guys and girls,I have a issue with FSX that for the life of me, I cannot find any replication online via google. My problem is pretty simple, I installed Ultimate Terrain X Europe and Ground Environment X Europe together, I then decided to install the first volume of the Horizon Simulation (VFR GenX). My scenery library has the VFR GenX at the top and beneath it is UTX. When I fly around in my VFR photo area, the textures for UTX display all around me, but just underneath me the textures load from the VFR GenX package.. I have looked in my scenery.cfg file to see if there is any problems with the ordering of areas, VFR GenX is right at the bottom and above it is the UTX textures. I used a utility built for FS2002/2004 for re ordering and fixing scenery entry problems (FSTscenery from Avsim). I hope the attached pictures says a thousands words as I may have not explained it very well. In a nutshell, how do I stop UTX's textures loading on top of VFR GenX's? Any help would be very much appreciated!! Thanks in advance//

Hello, So I have just take the plunge into the P3D world. Yes I am/ was a die hard X-Plane fanatic but am looking for deeper systems simulation in the aircraft. So this seems to be the path for now. And as I have found not necessarily a cheap one. However I digress. I have created a massive amount of Photo Scenery for X-Plane all in DDS files. I have found some topics on taking FSX/ P3D scenery to X-Plane but not so much discussion coming the other way. Short story is it would be great to utilize the photo scenery I have in X-Plane for P3D if that is possible in any way to convert. Otherwise I will start looking at creating it for P3D from scratch I suppose. Thanks, and for anyone wondering I am on the fence after using P3D on which is better they both have their pluses and minuses. Not sure I have a clear winner. I think they are two tools for two different things honestly. None the less I am enjoying it and learning a new simulation platform has kept me busy for sure.

Last weekend I tried doing a flight between KMIA (MS default) and SACO in FS9 (default, reworked AFCAD, default terminal buildings added and photoreal ground textures I generated in SBuilder 2). Keeping with Murphy's law, I was getting a CTD just at approach. After checking with AppCrashView, I saw it was a StackHash error, for which the CTD guide did not give me the best hope. I was fearing a reformat... After trying again (I had just saved 30 NM before the airport), I ran Process Monitor along with FS9, until it crashed. After weeding out all the DLL crashes (every single DLL in FS9 reported buffer error), I found the culprit was a missing winter texture (it's winter in Southern Hemisphere). Turns out that I only generated summer and night textures (and autogen), and forgot to generate all other season bitmaps. After generating all season textures, I could land with no issue. Hope this helps when you see this type of CTD.
