AAO Crashes while trying to save an edited script

Featured Replies

With the recent update to 4.20 b43, I get constant crashes when editing scripts. I can usually edit 2 or 3 before the application just closes.

When not editing scripts, my Assigned buttons will randomly become unresponsive. I have the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, and everything was working find until the most recent AAO build.

The Windows application log: This is the same for each (Editing or unresponsive buttons). My only option is to restart AAO. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like incompatible USB Hardware. Go to "Hardware->Device Blacklist" and move everything into the list on the right with the "Ignore" button that isn't a game controller that you are using in AAO. This includes all keyboards and mice, they must be blacklisted too.

Sorry, no idea. Obviously, something is interfering when AAO tries to save the temporary script file (that ironically is created so you can recover from a crash). This file has been there since forever though, it is nothing new.

Make sure that your hard disk is OK (=no corrupted sectors, not 100% full) and check your anti virus logs too. Has anything changed on your computer, especially regarding OneDrive?

Turned out to be AV. I already had an exception for AAO in Program Files, but needed to put an exception for AAO in the AppData directory as well. Once I did that, it seemed to be fine.
