Hello,A few screens of my current work in project, buildings for Oahu.Real scenery made a really nice addon for this island, you can have a look at avsim review there http://www.avsim.com/pages/1211/RealScenery/Oahu.htmlYou may know that we can generate xplane scenery files from open street map data, the problem for Oahu is that there is nearly no osm buildings data there.I recently managed to found some governmental cadastral data then converted it to a file format that osm2xp can read. It's far from perfect (no height data , some parts of the island are empty), but it's a very good starting base.A few screens with fraps fps counter so you can see the performance impact.I'm using totaly insane number of objects, with a lod of 85000.85000 is a totaly crazy setting, a "normal" one would be something like 40000, i just used this setting to make those screens, so the fps loss should be smaller with "normal" settings. Please keep in mind that textures can be easily customized, i'm using my basic texture set which is made with south of France in mind.before---afterbefore---afterbefore---afterbefore---afterbefore---afterA few more random screens:screenshot1 screenshot2 screenshot3 screenshot4screenshot5 screenshot6 screenshot7 screenshot8screenshot9 screenshot10 screenshot11 screenshot12 screenshot13 screenshot14 screenshot15 screenshot16screenshot17 screenshot18 screenshot19I'm gonna work on the data to add height info, now if people are interested working on this area, i think it would be nice to make some 3D models for the skycrappers.I think this area is perfect for a nice community work , it's a small area , there's a nice photoreal scenery for it, and we now have some buildings data to fill the island.Ben

I have downloaded the 3 Hawaiian Airport packages by George Keogh here and they are amazing quality, however Package 2 crashes P3D v4 whenever it loads up, and I'm thinking that it has to do with some old FS9 models being used. The problem is I don't know exactly which files to remove/disable in order to fix this. Package 2 adds airports to Oahu. It could be using some FS9 ship models in that area. Does anyone know the quickest and most efficient way to see exactly which files are incompatible with P3D v4 so that we can remove them and fly the sim again? For anyone that hasn't done so, and loves flying in the Hawaiian region, this package is a must have. Simply beautiful scenery.
