Hi All, I have a wee problem with FSInn. It appears that it cannot connect to anything. When I start FSInnUI the Control Panel pops up as per normal. What is not normal is that the FSInn button and the mCP button at the top of the Control Panel are RED. Also no Servers (Vatsim, Net2, 3, 4 or FSFDT) are shown on the left side of the Control Panel. I am running Win7 x64 (new install, all updates installed), Prepar3d (2.5.19245.0), Estonia Migration Tool (downloaded yesterday), NO Antivirus, NO anti-spyware. This PC is specifically for Flight Simming. It runs behind a Untangle firewall which has not been changed since I ran FSInn with FSX Acceleration successfully. I have followed (to the letter) the instructions here (http://board.flightsim.ee/discussion/446/fsinn-don039t-work-with-p3dv2-5-12944-0) and checked against these here (http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=47063). I have added FSInnUI.exe to Windows Firewall Exception and also tried running with the Firewall turned off. Nothing seems to be working. I don't believe this is an issue with P3D but I think it is a communication/firewall issue. I would really appreciate any assistance at this point Cheers Harry

Okay so basically, in April this year I started playing VATSIM through FSINN and everything was smooth and I learnt so much and was really enjoying my flying and interacting with other pilots and atc. Right, so I uninstalled some PMDG and Airbus X aircraft and other addon software. Then, whenever I tried to load FSX up it would give me FSINN runtime errors, specifically runtime error 372. I stopped playing about three months ago and left it. About a week ago I opened FSX to try and enjoy a flight but the same errors still occurred. I uninstalled all my addons i.e aircraft, scenery etc. Then uninstalled FSINN and copilot. Tried reinstalling FSINN; still the same errors. Even though I get these errors I can go into free flight but I cannot connect to VATSIM. Then I uninstalled FSX. So I reinstalled FSX on my other hard drive. Tried to install FSINN and copilot again, the same errors. Here are the images of the errors that come up when I start FSX (as an admin). this one comes up an additional two times when I click ok. then this one. then this one then fsx loads up and this one comes up finally I would be eternally grateful if anybody could help me solve this. Also, whenever I reinstall FSINN, I do not get asked for my credentials or VATSIM credentials i.e callsign, vatsim login. Thanks! -
Hi every one, I fly on VATSIM using FSINN almost everydayand had no problem at all. However, when I turned on my computer today and try opening FSINNUI, it was not showing up on desktop(other Fsinn windows are fine i.e.Control Panel, KochChart etc.), but it is running as shown in applications tab and in the process tab in Task Manager. I tried resetting window placement but had no effect(or I might have done something wrong). Can anyone please help me please! Eager to FLY!! btw, can anyone get on vatsim.net and squawkbox.ca? They seems to be down right now? Many Thanks!! Calvin -
Hi Guys! I have a problem. When i use fsinn and i'm in full screen mode of fsx, AA (anti aliasing) doesn't work as it should. Fsx looks awfull, all the edges and stuff. FPS the same. When i swith to windowed mode its again ok, but i dont wont to play like this. Do You even play FSX when You see windows bar at the bottom? It ruins the fun :( Can someone help me please with this problem to use fsinn and still AA will be ok? My specs: I5 4670, oc to 4,1Ghz, 8gb ram, Nvidia GTX770. I use DX9. Addons are like (a lot of stuff) FTX Global, Vector, REX4, PMDG, a lot of airports and other planes. -
I am new to VATSIM and just did my first flight today which was a success however, I am unable to hear ATC or communicate with ATC by voice. I had to use the chat window for the entire flight. I read the FAQ section on Apollo3 regarding sound with FSINN and didn't come up with any results. I also did some forum searching but didn't find anything that fixed my problem. I downloaded TeamSpeak and my microphone is working fine with a hot key. But when I am connected to Vatsim with FSINN I cannot hear any ATC communication and I can't even hear the "tone" when I press the hot key to speak. I have checked all volume settings and everything is turned up. I also excluded FSFDT in my anti virus. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. I am using Logitech 313 speakers and a audio-technica headset. Also using Envy HD audio control panel. Please help! Thank you! -
Hi, When I tried to connect the PMDG 777 to FSInn, FSInn shows this: "The aircraft you are using doesn't have a recognized ICAO descriptor (ZZZZ). This may correct because the aircraft you are using is too old and wasn't assigned a ICAO code. But this can also be due to the aircraft not configured correctly." What is the problem? Thank For the Help!

Hello all - there are quite a few users that don't have FSINN setup correctly - and as a consequence it means the rest of us don't get to see you properly in your shiny new 777! instead we see you online as ZZZZ and then some default aircraft. This is what to do to fix (well one way) The reason is because you don't have edit current used plane set - likely because you have a FSINN.cfg file in the folder to make FSINN ignore it. That was because people didn't want FSINN using that model as AI. However you can make it so it doesn't. Step 1 - Remove the FSINN.cfg file from your simobjects/aircrafts/whatever your plane is Step 2 - with FSINN running Press the Set Button and you will get this Make sure the only use lowres models is checked Press the Advanced button Press the Pla Button Then on the config tab select Edit Current Used Plane. Make sure that the Acft Res is set to H and fill in any other user parts that are showing missing or incorrect –i.e its showing as say B777 or something wrong. You will then see in the config for types your plane listed and your AI ones, with AI using Lores so this will be selected over yours, here you can edit the models to display correct airlines, etc. That’s it fixed – you will now show correctly to everyone, but wont get overloaded Hi res Models as AI.

Hello guys! After been stuck for 30 minutes(Lucky me i guess?) I got the PMDG 777. Now I'm eager to fly online and start up the sim. As Emirates on EGLL, i try to start up fsinn the normal way, but 2 times the sim crash after that. So for me it seems fsinn won't work in the sim when 777 is running. Same problem as of the FSlabs concorde. What you can do if you also have this prob is start with default trike, startup fsinn and then change to the 777. OR start FSinn UI via the start menu. Then the question, am i the only 1 having this problem?

Hello, After loading OPUS weather, the weather loads (cloud, visibility etc), but after a couple of seconds, the weather disappears and return to CAVOK (back to what I started with). I am using FSInn (VATSIM), I have 'Disabled weather by default', I have tried running in CAVOK condition with FSInn, and running the program without touching the weather config settings. I have to my knowledge disabled the FSInn weather. It seems to me something is stopping OPUS weather from staying 'loaded'?? Also, I am seeing the OPUS software updating the weather, but again, something seems to knock it out after a couple of seconds. Any help, much appreciated! -
Hello all, I've had a problem ever since I've started flying with Vatsim, and therefore with a headset. The communications do come through the headset as I want them to, and the other sounds (cockpit, environment) through my speakers... except for the engine sounds, which come through the headset along with the voice. It's quite disturbing, since FSX doesn't offer to separate the engine sounds from the environment and cockpit ones, only from the voice. Anyone knows a solution? (I have FSX with Acceleration, fly the Aerosoft Airbus A320, and use Vatsim through FSInn.) -
So I had my first couple of flights on VatSIM and I have an issue... I have a very expensive headset and microphone setup that is crystal clear in both audio and communication everywhere I use it except apparently VatSIM through FSINN. Is it normal for everyone on VatSIM to sound like their Mic is in their throat or that they dropped it in the toilet while flushing it six times in a row? It is very hard to understand some of the pilots and even worse, controllers in the US theater of operations I fly. Is it just the nature of the beast or are all controllers drinking and slurring their speech before they log in because that is what it sounds like to me. I was lucky to even make my landing today with the poor quality of sound. I know it is generally up to the quality of the other person's mic but is there anything I can do to make it sound clearer and not so garbled up? Surely not everyone on VatSIM is running with a two dollar mic on something that REALLY needs clear and concise enunciated communication. -
I didn't know which forum was appropriate since this is a CTD and a Multiplayer VATSIM issue. I will let the Moderators decide. Here's the problem. I am now ready to fly on VatSIM. So I installed FSINN and FSCOPILOT per the instructions on how to get up and running successfully on a Windows 7 system. There are two problems now. 1) If I try to load any flightplan, and it asks if I want the plane to be moved to the new location... if I click YES I get an instant Fatal Error CTD. I uninstalled FSINN and FSCOPILOT immediately to see if that had caused this new CTD behavior. Yep. It did. When I uninstalled FSINN I could load flightplans normally and move the aircraft to the airport and gate it needs to be at without CTD. Reinstall. CTDs return. 2) I cannot START the simulation inside a PMDG 737 aircraft. Or rather, I can not start FSINN while inside a PMDG 737 aircraft. FSX stops responding and I have to kill it through the Task Manager. If I load in any default FSX aircraft FSINN works fine. Now I believe there is a posted issue about starting in the PMDG with FSINN and how you aren't suppose to and that you should start the sim with a default craft and THEN reload with the PMDG? I think it has something to do with FSINN trying to index all the AI aircraft available. The crashing while loading flightplans though is a killer for me. You can just move the airport to the airport without loading a flight plan with no problems. But you try to load up a flight plan you created using any external program and it bombs out. It wouldn't be a big deal if I wanted to fly VatSIM exclusively I suppose. But I like to fly in a really busy world with ATC running and VatSIM cannot always provide that so I will want to fly offline.. but now can't. Any clues? This is like my 3rd attempt to get up and running on VatSIM. Going to hang up the towel if I can't fly with flightplans and PMDG loaded.

Hello! Ever since I have started using FSInn to connect to VATSIM, I seem to be having a bit of an issue. Other than FSInn already being unstable, it seems that whenever I shutdown/close FSX, I get a message saying "Microsoft Flight Simulator X has stopped working." This make very little sense because I only shut off FSX. So, I am pretty certain that the issue is FSInn. Being that I start FSInn internally, I think Windows 7 thinks that FSX is causing the problem, and not FSInn. When I wasn't using FSInn... this never happened. In simple terms, I am getting an error message *AFTER CLOSING FSX* telling me that the sim has stopped working. You and I both know that makes next to no sense. Help mush appreciated! Thanks ^_^. Hi all! I have a problem with my throttle: whenever I click "outside" of FSX, including on the FSInn control panel, my throttle moves out of its previous position. I have to push the command full forward, then full back, then reset it. As you can imagine, this is very annoying, especially on the ground when my aircraft suddenly starts accelerating if I don't slam the brakes. This happens when I click on the FSInn control panel (for example when changing squawk mode), or on any other window that isn't FSX. Software: FSX (with FSInn), FSUIPC, Aerosoft Airbus X Extended (but same issue with other aircraft) Commands: Logitech G940 kit (throttle, joystick, pedals) A friend of mine has the exact same specs and does not have any problem. Any suggestions on how to solve this? Thanks Lea
