  1. Hi all! I have a quick question regarding Chaseplane which i cannot seem to find an answer for: Does CP work correctly when doing the walkaround on the A2A Cessna 172? I am currently using Ezdok, and have seen a lot of information on CP to make me consider switching (the main reason being that ezdok does not work correctly when doing the walkaround, the camera views are messed up). Everything else i have heard makes me want to jump ship, but if CP does not work correctly when doing the walkaround then there is less reason to switch. Thank you for your time.
  2. I already have Ezdok installed. If I install Chase Plane without removing Ezdok, do I just do a global disable on Ezdok to let Chase Plane use control assignments? Can I switch back and forth between Ezdok and Chase Plane by global disable of one and enable of the other? My objective is to keep the option to go back and forth as needed. Thanks
  3. Hi guys, I've been struggling with this strange issue for some time now and couldn't really find any solution online. Here's what happens to me: on numerous occasions when I start a flight my hat switch wouldn't respond, it appears to be completely blocked. Then if I switch to outside view everything starts to go crazy - camera performs a weird backspin and rotates endlessly, engines of any airplane (doesn't matter default or addon) spool all the way up and that's it for me - all I can do is to shut down fsx. The only way I can somehow manage to have it under control is to restart the system and run ezca configuration tool. This happens every time I select a new aircraft, but also every now and then with no particular reason. Apart from it, the whole problem appears to have nothing to do with my system specs, as currently I'm using windows 10 and FSX:SE, with clean vanilla installation of many addons, including EZCA 1.18, but I was familiar with the issue when I used Acceleration and Win7 before... Has anybody of you encountered this weird bug? I'd appreciate any help. Best regards.
  4. So I broke down and repurchased the 772 and 773 expansion, for use in my freshly installed P3D v3.1. The problem I am having as stated in the topic title, is that after everything I know to try, any time I load any version of the 777, the camera zoom defaults back to 0.7 in the VC, and 1.0 for outside views. And if I zoom out, change views, and return to the previous view, the zoom is again back at the default. I am using the latest version EZDOK, and tried adjusting the zooms, and saving the camera profiles in EZDOK, but they never "stick". I am posting this here as this is the only aircraft I am having the issue with. I looked at the aircraft.cfg file, and see that many of the default zoom levels are listed in there. Is this where I need to edit them? Or is it somewhere else? As always, any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to taking advantage of the decreased VAS usage and doing some long haul flights.
  5. Hello guys. I really like Ezdok shake effects. But I don't want to use it because I really hate the view system, and the need to completely set your views by yourself. I got really used to the default FSX view system. Is there any way to use only shake effects from Ezdok? Or.. is there anything else, which has good shake effects? I saw Opus, I saw AccuFeel. But none of it seemed natural. Thanks!
  6. Hİ everyone I want to use ezdok camera in p3d v2 . I used freeware russian migration toll (ı don't think it is illegal ) and everything was fine except middle mouse button I can't use middle mouse button instead I put a key for that for exmp. "Home" when I press home button it works but I can't move it with my middle mouse button. what sould I do thanks Berke
  7. I've been using EZdok for a few days now, have read through the manual, have figuring out how to set it up, and I think I have the basics down. Almost everything runs very well except for two things that have been driving me crazy! Certain settings don't save after I shut down & restart FSX. Specifically, it's not saving the DHM settings in any of the cameras (the button remains selected/highlighted for a specific view, but the dials all revert to zero). And the cockpit walls are not saving either; the little "L" icon becomes deselected and all of the previously saved parameters are gone, so after a restart, my head wanders outside of the plane when I look around. What is going on? :( Couple of things to keep in mind: I'm using version 1.16 of EZdok, the one offered on their download page, but not 1.17 which seems like it never left the beta stage and which I've read has caused a lot of problems for some users. But perhaps the fix I'm looking for is in the newer version? I'm running Windows 8.1 / 64-bit. And as per the suggestions of a few other folks in the forums, I'm running the EZCA.exe and the config.exe as an Administrator and also in Windows 7 compatibility mode (both via the files' Properties > Compatibility tab). That didn't seem to help though. I have a registered version of FSUIPC; no buttons are conflicting with that nor with the default FS controls, including the joystick's hat switch which only EZdoc handles. (Not really sure if that matters though.) I've added all executable FSX and EZCA files to the exceptions list in my Norton antivirus. The DHM camera & cockpit walls only not saving for the few Carenado GA I use, but they are working in all the default FSX planes. The settings I'm using are basically the exact ones I imported from similar default planes that EZdok already had cameras for; again, they do work when I initially import & tweak them, but not after I exit. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  8. Hello, I have a need to run FSX with EZCA & FSUIPC in a new admin user account. On launching FSX, EZCA will also attempt to launch with an error. This works fine in the other user account. In short, the problem is add ons for FSUIPC and EZCA either do not launch or an Add-On menu is not available. SO TWO ISSUES: 1) When launching FSX, EZCA attempts to launch but fails with the error: Ezdok camera addon Unable to write to C:\Users\sim\AppData\Roaming\EZCA\db\general.INI. 2) The Add-On menu doesn’t appear in this new user account. (So, I cannot access FSUIPC) QUESTIONS THAT MAY BE ASKED: Are both users administrative users? Yes Have you tried right clicking and running as administrator? Yes (in both users) Is the folder, “EZCA” located at, “C:\Users\sim\AppData\Roaming\”? No Version numbers: FSUIPC 4.929 and EZCA 1.16 Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe 10.0.61472.0 (fsx-sp2.20071210-2023) MY CONFIGURATION: iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), Intel i7 3.40 GHz, 32 GB, GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB VRAM, 3TB HDD Fusion OPERATING SYSTEM: (running via Boot Camp) Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) SP1 Any assistance would be appreciated! - Shaun
  9. Hello flightsimmers, A friend of mine gave me his vibration settings and I would like to implement them into my ezdok. So my question is, how do you do it? Thanks in advance
  10. Hi, I fly FSX with ENB Series as the colours are better. I also have ezdok installed but never used it as I didn't know how to work it correctly. But now I have watched some youtube tutorials and downloaded the AOA camera pack. It works great but in full screen if I switch view the screen flashes black for like half a second. It is really annoying, By some research I found out it was ENB and it doesn't happen in windowed mode. I also get flashing during the initilization faze but I ignore that. I found these 2 threads from a few years ago which discuss it but there is never a fix found. These were from 2011/2012, it is now 2014. Do people use something different to ENB? Or is there a fix I don't know about? Previous Threads found from a google search: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/342844-ngxezdokenb-series-conflict/ http://forum.avsim.net/topic/383641-pmdg-ngx-ezdok-enb-flashing-issue-solved/ Thanks.
  11. Here is a EZdok camera set iv done for the PMDG 777X LR/F to get people started if the so wish. These were made using, and u will need version 1.17. Theres a total of 10 Virtual Cockpit cameras. I have used the Zoom setting of 0.75 to balance off the distortion vs viewable area to keep it realistic. There also are no effects, you can add them as you please. Screenshots are provided for each camera. If the cameras dont exactly match what you see in the screenshots and appear to be a little off in position, then follow the following installation instructions: 1. Delete all old cameras set up in EZdok if you have already created some for the 777X. 2. Exit FSX (If not already done so) and run the EZdok Config and click "Configure FSX". 3. Once back in FSX with 777X loaded, import my camera set. (Please note: when importing set only select "Virtual Cockpit cameras" to load to avoid the "Any data of "NF" camera is not found" errors) 4. Alternatively you can load each camera one by one individually form the "Cameras" folder I provided. By default the assigned the 10 cameras to use the 0-9 keys (not numpad) to cycle through the cameras. Please be aware that these are designed for 16:9 resolutions such as 1920X1080. Also, the "WideViewAspect" parameter in the FSX CFG file needs to be set to true: "WideViewAspect=True" Link to file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/20ksds Kaveesh Singh
  12. Unable to get EZdok recognized by win8. I've tried installing it every way I can think of, but nothing seems to work. If you have it working, please let me in on the secret. pappyhep
  13. Okay guys, I thought I will make an official thread for those of us who are confused about the view system in FSX. I know it can get very confusing, especially for someone new to FSX. It certainly did for me. I'm just now getting the hang of it and would like to share some helpful tips or useful information for others on here. Please forgive me if this information is already on here, but I thought it'd be nice to have 1 thread that covers everything. Ok, let's start. First off, many of you who play FSX are most likely not using the built-in view system and are using a 3rd party addon called EZCA better know as EZDok Camera Addon. You're going to be likely using one or the other and not both simultaneously as this will cause a lot of strange behaviour and conflicts. If you have this addon install, notice that when you start up, that *MOST* of your planes will have a default zoom of 0.40. This can be changed for each aircraft. The files are all located in: C:\Users\{your_username}\AppData\Roaming\EZCA\db\ (you will have to configure your settings to allow you to see hidden files and folders. Each aircraft has its own configuration file and it is stored here. There are 3 folders in here for the 3 distinctive views: aircraft, virtual cockpit, and world. To edit your default view for a particular aircraft, go to that folder. If you want to edit the default virtual cockpit view, then go there and look for your plane's name and load the file up with a text editor. Notepad will do. To change the default zoom level, look for an entry called Zoom=xx, it should be right under [CAMERA]. I believe the a Zoom=26 will get you a 0.30 zoom level when playing. That is the lowest you can go. Once you made your changes, just save the file, and it will pretty much be instantly refreshed when you switch to another view and switch back, you will see your new zoom level! Another thing to look out for is, have you ever encountered a problem with non-clickable buttons when under cockpit view for a certain aircraft? Well the problem with that is, your zoom level is too far back. To fix this, just enter 'EDIT' mode in EZCA and move that view forward until you can click the buttons. I had to find this out the hard way. For those of you who are using an xbox 360 controller with the wireless receiver. Make sure you have the controller turned on before starting FSX. I notice that if you turn it on afterwards, EZCA won't recognize the controller. I was struggling a lot in the beginning with all these views and zoom levels, and now I have a better understanding. Hopefully this information will help others out there. Feel free to contribute to this thread. I will post more helpful stuff as soon as I learn more.
  14. For the story behind the landing - look here! Suffice to say I hit the ground with all the grace and momentum of a breeze block hurled from a tower block. I had turned off crash settings as per the B377 recommendations - everything else was set to full realism. As I made my "landing", EZDOK completely flipped out on my and behaved as if I was in a washing machine on fast spin...which made my taxi rather challenging. I tried the "global disable" which then froze the camera about 10 feet outside the cockpit and upside-down and of course wouldn't allow me to then move it. On turning it back on, it went back into its freakout again. Any ideas on what happened and how to stop it happening again?
  15. After having installed FSX for some time with reasonable outcomes, I have now install the PMDG 737NGX program and after some tweaking and following the instructions and some tutorials it worked fine on a single 24" screen. I actually have 3 screens installed and in multi-screen mode it is OK but I have to drag windows etc around each time I fly. In surround vision over 3 screens it operates but will not allow me to to move the view back far enough to see the panel and the view ahead so I have stuck with the simpler multi-screen mode for now. My real problem at the moment however, is that I have since installed EXdok and FSCoPilot and FS2CoPilot and now FSX crashes completely (Fatal Error) before it has even loaded. My ideal solution is to find someone who lives in Melbourne, Australia who could come out and assist in the complete set-up of my system. Otherwise some patient on-line instruction would be warranted. I am an aviation enthusiast not a IT expert and don't want to be going from one system problem to another as I take my flying seriously in furthering my aviation education. Can anyone help??
  16. I was messing around with the advanced effects in EZDok yesterday and produced a great engine vibration effect in the RND effect settings. While I was in the edit mode, the effect appeared just fine; however, when I turned off edit mode to save it, the effect disappeared. The DHM and CR effects work just fine, but RND doesn't. I've heard that EZDok sometimes has problems like this in non-default aircraft, so is there a work-around?
  17. Hi Folks, Long time lurker, first time poster. Couldn't seem to find an answer to this one with the search function, so here goes. With EZDOK, is there anyway to keep a 2d panel 'popup' window open while changing views in a virtual cockpit? I use EZDOK to get me around the PMDG NGX cockpit, but whenever I hit a button I've set on the yoke on the yoke to glance up at the overhead switches/radios etc. it automatically closes any of the EFIS popups I like to keep open...any way to 'anchor' them on the screen so I can keep them open while changing VC views in EZDOK? Hope that makes sense - thanks in advance for your advice.
  18. Hi, I am having a lot of trouble recently with FSX. Everything was running fine until I tried to install a livery for the PMDG MD-11 which corrupt my scenery.cfg which forced me to re-install FSX; loosing all my stuff. When I eventually got everything running again, I tried to set up the cameras for EzDok when I came to realize that when i pressed NUM 2 to enter edit mode, I get the pinging sound in the background notifying me that I am in edit mode, but when I press the arrow keys to move around, nothing happens? Also my Pan doesn't work on the cockpit cameras, it works for the gear camera but not the cockpit camera? How can I fix this? This is the last step to getting back to where I was. Thanks in advance!
  19. Everyone is different and everyone likes different add ons etc for fsx. That goes without saying. For some, certain mods work great, and others have problems with the same mods. I want to share my thoughts on ezdok/ezca and the enb mod. Both mods are awesome without doubt. If cameras are your thing, then ezca is the supreme program that will give you unlimited camera views, head shake and buffering effects, and a bunch of other things. However, from what I've read online, a lot of people simply like the head shake effect and buffering illusion. Also, if you've tinkered with ezdok, you know that it's quite complicated and can sometimes have issues. It's not idiot proof. Personally, I was having a lot of problems with ezdok (technical issues) and ended up uninstalling it. Luckily, I wasn't too obsessed with the camera views and am quite happy with the default cameras of fsx. I do however loved and missed the wiggling, undocked head effects. The other day I discovered AccuFeel. this:http://www.a2asimulations.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=49 This program is extremely simple compared to Ezdok, but will give you instant, accurate head shake, stall buffeting, and ground shake in all your aircraft including addon aircraft simply by installing the software. It detects the type of aircraft, reads and understands it's flight specs and creates a shake profile for it. It also adds a whole plethora of improved sounds which are really amazing. This program is not a camera program though, so you will use the fsx camera system. You install it and forget about it. It's customizable if you want to tweak it with a really easy to use slider menu that appears in your add-ons tab. Regarding the ENB series mod....once you use it, it's hard to tolerate the default, washed out values and tones of fsx. It really gives fsx a photographic look. But as many know, there can be some serious issues the mod including crashes, burned out skies, difficulty getting the mod to work in all types of time themes etc. For me, it was the single cause of CTD and fatal error messages. You can approximate most of the effects other than bloom by simply adjusting your desktop colour settings. Run fsx in it's own window and adjust your gamma, contrast, lightness etc until you get a richer, more contrasty look. Just playing with these sliders, you can exactly match the HDR effect of ENB....darker richer darks, brighter, more blown out lights etc. And at night, you can really get the high contrast, rich velvety blacks that are so much the prize of the ENB tweaks. On my LED tv, fsx looks awesome, and exactly matches the values of ENB minus the bloom softening. I liked the soap opera gauziness of enb, but got tired of the persistent crashes and problems. Maybe yours works great...I don't know. Aside from bloom, all the other effects can be had by changing your desktop colour settings....gamma, contrast, brightness, vibrance. Also play with your TV/monior settings as well. The nice thing about doing it this way is that you don't lose colour saturation or detail in blown out whites. It gives you a lot of customizability. I don't know, just my thoughts.
  20. Hello all, Ever since I've used EZdok with the NGX (which is awesome) the camera view for the PIC is not in the correct position and makes the HUD display itself get cut off when in certain modes. I've tried editing the camera within FSX but when I do it only jumps around, not moves smoothly, and doesn't help the problem. This is especially frustrating, especially when using AIII mode, that I cannot see the HGS and the information it provides. Currently my options are too much to the left, or too much to the right. I was also wondering if I could just edit the POV config file to move it without jumping 10 coordinates instead of 1. Any chance I could do that?
  21. Well, I am running fsx, and ezdok seems to work well, however when i run fsx from airhauler, ezdok will only work when fsx is unfocused. As I am writing this ezdok is changing views, however when i go into the fsx window it will stop working. Ezdok appears on the toolbar, and it is not disabled. anybody got any idea why this is happening
  22. Hi - I have EZdok installed with the ERJ-145 aircraft operating in VC mode. All is working fine with switching camera, viewing using the hat switch, and moving the viewpoint. But, there is no way to rotate cockpit knobs in VC mode for the aircraft because the controls are turned using the middle mouse button (roll forward or backward to rotate a knob). I can push buttons but when I roll MM button to rotate a knob, the EZdok camera zooms. I've tried clicking disable MM button in EZdok but there is no change. Does anyone have a workaround? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  23. I'm sorry this topic does not directly involve the 777 but I thought this was the most appropriate place to post after not being able to find a forum for Ezdok. I am having an issue with EzDok (EZCA) in the PMDG 777 (only noticed in 777) in turns both on the ground and in the air and also when starting a steep climb. The issue is the camera moves during these times and it somehow changes my preset so if I have a camera preset looking straight out the front window from captains seat and go into a right turn the camera moves back and right. Anyone know any solutions? I have tried reconfigure and reinstall of Ezdok and also reinstall of the PMDG 777, none of the above solved the issue. Thanks in advance.
  24. Since trying and ultimately failing to run side-by-side installs of MS FSX and FSX-SE, I have tried to uninstall both as completely as I know how. After doing so, I downloaded FSX-SE, installed it, and attempted to install the add-ons I had previously installed. The first I tried was EZdok camera addon. The first time I attempted this, I was able to install it, update it, and run the configure tool with no issues, and it would start alongside fsx, but it would not appear in the add-ons menu, making it impossible to set up cameras. I tried several tips on the forums, and failing in this uninstalled the addon and tried again. The second time, I got as far as the configure tool. When I pressed the configure button, a window popped up saying: "So far as your version of Flight simulator X is other tha English + Acceleration Pack. We recommend to go through the simple procedure of searching for address of the world camera coordinates in the RAM of your PC. This task will be performed automatically and will not need any special skills from you. If you skip this procedure the functionality of world cameras will be very limited. Do you wish to start the wizard?" If I say No, nothing happens and I am back where I started, and if I say Yes, it tells me to close flight simulator if it's running, so that it can delete the world cameras. I click delete and I get an error saying: "Unable to write to C:\Users\Tristan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\cameras.cfg." But upon investigating, I can find no FSX folder in C:\Users\Tristan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\. Does this mean that my computer thinks that MS FSX is still installed? If so, how do I correct that? Sorry for the long-windedness, but I figured it's best to make these things detailed. Thank you very much in advance. ~Tristan
  25. Hello, I recently bought EzDok and had a few issues with it to start with however I did a re-install and everything was ok. Today on a flight from EGSS to EDDW my Ezdok keys stopped working but i could still move my mouse. The keys worked when I opened the ezdok window though but i couldnt move in the sim. I reinstalled and everything seemed to be ok. But just now it has happened again! I am on FSX (boxed) and i'm using EzDok version 1.18.7
