  1. I would really like to buy the Mindstar GNS 530/430 and also will buy it. It looks very good. However, I would like to have a review or something like that of it. There is virtually nothing on the internet like a review or video, so I hoped someone in this forum has purchased it and can tell me their experience with it. - Has it affected your Frame-Rate? - Do you have some pictures of it? Maybe even in an A2A-Product? - Do you know any videos, showcasing the unit? - How do you like it in general? - Something general about the GNS 530: Is it nice to fly with? I'd like to fly IFR in my A2A Cessna 182. Can I somehow get RealNav-Data for less than 40$? I don't need a one year subscription. I only need a more or less new AIRAC version. Or is paying the cheapest plan for 40$ the only and cheapest way? Thanks a lot!
  2. Hi all! I have a quick question regarding Chaseplane which i cannot seem to find an answer for: Does CP work correctly when doing the walkaround on the A2A Cessna 172? I am currently using Ezdok, and have seen a lot of information on CP to make me consider switching (the main reason being that ezdok does not work correctly when doing the walkaround, the camera views are messed up). Everything else i have heard makes me want to jump ship, but if CP does not work correctly when doing the walkaround then there is less reason to switch. Thank you for your time.
  3. Hi. New to Lua and programming in general, am I right in assuming that the function name can be anything I choose that is descriptive of its use? also I am trying to figure out why my code below wont work, nothing happens when I programme a switch on my X-55 with it. I used the LInda Tracer to find the Lvar relevant to opening the cockpit side door on the A2A Spitfire, and (after un-pausing FSX-S) the door opens by a command sent from the Linda Tracer "Set Value" Toggle (Shift+Ctrl+Alt+F10). Any help much appreciated. 5. Hi all, Has anyone got VoxATC working in V4? I downloaded the demo last night and it seems to work in all default aircraft but my A2A aircraft weren't detected, and they don't have that panel in the menu. I then manually copied the panel entries into the panel.cfg file but it still didn't show up. I was wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that the A2A planes are in the Addons folder and not in the SimObjects folder. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Cheers!
  6. So I started a journey a couple days ago, to fly from Cooking Lake (CEZ3) to somewhere in British Columbia, Canada. Haven't quite decided where to go, but most likely end up in greater Vancouver area. I figured I would track my journey somewhere, so coupled with screenshots, I'll put it here for now. Anywho, onto the flight. This is CEZ3, small airport in Central Alberta. 1 runway and a float plane base. This is the aircraft I'll be flying, the A2A C172R with a really nice repaint by jimmyrfr on the A2A forums. The photo taken below was on the way to the CYEG VOR, from there I'd be flying an outbound course towards Edson, Alberta. From there I'll head to Jasper and that's where things will get tricky. Mountain Navigation. At least tricky for someone used to punching in FMC details and what not. coming into Edson This was after arrival to Edson and parked at the airfield. I reloaded some scenery and it changed from Fall to winter textures. Strange but not a big deal. I don't really do flights during real time because I tend to get home later, with it getting later in the season and coming close to winter that also means night time occurs towards 6PM local. I flew to Jasper on local time, which of course was 8PMish, so pitch black navigating through mountains and at night. I'll get a shot of Jaspers grass field at the next departure, when I figure out where the next stop is! With the 20 pic limit per thread I'll add more into my flickr and then people can see a few more there, I'll link the album here; https://flic.kr/s/aHsm6RmDs5 For anyone interested in the addons you see here; Simaddons West ORBX FTX Global ORBX Northern Rockies ORBX PNW (later as I get closer to the coast) A2A 172R Rex texture direct
  7. My last tour for a long while i think. Took way too much time but the fantastic scenery and planes kept me excited to see it through. I believe I visited every single OrbX add on airport and bush strip in the whole region.
  8. My favorite new Zealand route, Queenstown to Milford Sound. Anyone else own these add-ons? What planes have you landed at that tiny resort? I'm still scared to try the Mustang..
  9. Hello, I recentley upgraded to P3D V4.2, am having some problems though. My textures seem to not load. I was on a test flight from EGCC-LEBL and i got bored of the day time so i changed it to "dusk". Since then the textures have not been loading. This is my second time having this problem. I have deleted the shaders folder but that seeme'd to mess it up so i recoverd it from the recycle bin. I have also deleted the P3D.CFG But still. 10. Hello, everyone! Today a little smoke over the Skagit
  11. Seeing the mountains of New Zealand South Island ahead it was too much of a temptation to dive down and give the stick and rudder a workout.
  12. Excuse the artifacts, had to boost the gain as it was pitch black out when I made the flight (you keep hearing me say that during video). Next flight will be daylight I promise! Am very confident in this plane at this point. Takeoffs are now exciting not terrifying!
  13. Greetings! I have recently re-purchased and re-installed the A2A C182 Skylane with Accusim (a much improved model over P3D V3 I believe), and stumbled across a thought for which I would ask the assembled wisdom of AVSIM. I fly (see signature) Active Sky, Chase Plane, the newly acquired C182, and also recently, Sky Force. I have had SF for a while but did not have it running while flying as I had chosen a Sun/Cloud/Sunsel/Lightening effect and left them loaded. However, with the most recent update I thought I would let Sky Force choose the cloud textures versus "Cumulus Maximus" to see how it works. It works just great, and I am glad. However, with the addition of the C182 with Accusim, I realized I may have FOUR wind turbulence/effect engines working to compound wind shear, turbulence and that they may be adding up to quite a yoke-full of wind effects. For example, all four components have their own wind (sometimes ground, et al) effect engines. Do they compound one another? I have noticed some "random" wind shear effects while in flight, and I know to disable the Chase Plane effects with Accusim aircraft, but what about AS and SF? My initial thoughts are to disable all effects for Accusim-enabled aircraft, and for those without to use AS wind effects, if only because it is globally (all aircraft) enabled. Does this sound reasonable? Is this a real concern, or am I just fighting my POS Logitech yoke too much? 🙂 Thanks!
  14. I love the intuitive and elegant way to create flight plans using the built-in flight planner in this sim. The way we can simply rotate the globe, select our departing and arrival airports, change the type of route whether it be direct, vfr, ifr, select the runways or gates if we want, and then hit fly and it will populate the flight plan for us into the FMC/MCDU all in one easy step! When and if the PMDG and FSLabs, QualityWings planes come out for MSFS. I really hope that their FMC/MCDU will support making quick flight plans using this method as well. It's so quick and efficient! Gone are the days where I have to rely on 3rd party flight planning software. This solution should be the standard. I hope they keep improving on the built-in flight planning feature. I notice that the cruise altitude defaults to FL120 if you don't define it yourself after the plan has been automatically imported into the FMS/MCDU. But please, I hope all 3rd party plane developers with G1000, G750, FMC, MCDU's in their planes will adapt this method
  15. We are pleased to announce that A2A has joined the AVSIM Market Place! We have posted two of their products today and will be adding over a dozen more over the next couple of days. The first product added was A2A's C-172 Trainer; a product that has set standards in our hobby for GA realism. If you have not yet purchased the 172, we encourage you to read the forum postings of it and available reviews and consider asking your significant other for it for Christmas! Please join us in welcoming A2A to the Market Place.
  16. Hello, yesterday I finally bought the amazing GTN Complete Package by Flight1 and I absolutely love it. There are only options to include either the 750 or the 650 into the VC of the A2A C182, however, I would like to know how I can include both of them into the VC. It is possible, but I don't know how. Shown in video below. It would be amazing if someone had the knowledge how to do it. Thanks a lot and best regards, Noah
  17. This tour will feature in-depth exploration of all areas covered by OrbX regional zones. Mesh is by FsGenesis, AS2016 live weather and real time flying at all times. All aircraft in this tour will be A2A AccuSim planes. Current hangar is Piper Cherokee/Comanche, T6 Texan and P-51 Mustang Civilian. Plan to add Piper Cub soon for Papua New Guinea Tapini exploration. Video planned to be 4k resolution (2k initially) running at 30fps for smoothness. Comments and suggestions on quality all welcome. Am using X-Split Gamecaster at present for ease of setup. FTX Global + Vector (All features selected)
  18. Has any one mapped out A2A's Shockwave Lights for the Hawker 850XP? The default lighting seems a little lacking to me.
  19. Ok, so I just joined a part 141 flight school to wrap up my instrument license and I have been flying a 172R so I thought it would be a good idea to get A2As 172R cause everyone's crazy about it. I jump in the plane on the sim and nothing works. I go into the maintenance hangar and everything is broken and I can't fix anything. Some people have had the same problem and they all say the solution is installing simconnect. I honestly have no clue what simconnect is or how to install it! Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm in P3D V3! Wait I figured it out I think. I went into the P3D V3 redist thing, found the bottom one that said Fsx-SP2... I went in found a simconnect thing... Installed it and now my 172 works! Idk LMAO! Wait I figured it out I think. I went into the P3D V3 redist thing, found the bottom one that said Fsx-SP2... I went in found a simconnect thing... Installed it and now my 172 works! Idk I can't figure out this post thing... Sorry.
  20. Hello everybody, I spent some time trying to figure out the best way to assign trimming small aircraft (A2A Cessna 172 in this case). This is my setup: - Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Throttle Quadrant - Saitek Rudder Pedals - P3D v4.1 - FSUIPC 5 registered - all controls and calibrations assigned through it... I tried using the mouse wheel (that's an option in FSUIPC) but that way I couldn't turn knobs like radios, indoor light using the mouse wheel... Then I tried to assign one of the yoke buttons, the one that you operate with left thumb. That kind of works but I feel like it's moving too slow for my needs. For example when I'm on approach in the A2A 172 and set the 1st notch of flaps, the nose goes up ridiculously (am I missing something?) and I have to hold the button for 10 good seconds to trim the plane right. My question is, how do you guys manage your trimming? I know that there is a piece of hardware that does the job, but I don't feel like spending $70 on a plastic wheel. Or is it worth it? For me, it means 10 hours of work in my country. Any tip / advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Tomas.
