The limits of the ALT etc should be defined within the LINDA airbus module so you should merely have to assign the encoder to the ALT function within LINDA. With an encoder, when you turn it,say to the right, it will show up in LINDA as a switch that operates each time you turn it one detent. It shows as a different switch if you turn to the left.
