  1. JohnF, Pugilist2, and Ramjett, Thanks for your kind words. Ramjett known as famous Randy Tyndall, GREAT to hear from you and happy New Year to you!!!! As for difficulty of landing on CYDA, it has nothing nothing to do with change of runway numbers due to magnetic changes as I have no problem with different runway numbers in many other airports. The trouble with FSX defaut CYDA airport scenery and difficulty to land there is that Microsoft designed wrong high hills or mountains on both ends of runway!! You cannot approach both ends of single runway without hitting high hills or mountains due to Microsoft's wrong design of the surrounding areas of the CYDA scenery placing TOO high mountains or hills in front of both ends of runway. Why CYDA is totally impossible for me to land can be seen on those 2 videos (look for TOO HIGH HILLS on both ends of single runway meaning if I want to land, I have to fly over TOO high hillls and then DIVE steep and then land. Look at this DC-6 taking right turn after take off to avoid too high hills but that does not help me as I need to land!! Regards, Aharon
  2. Shalom and greetings all my pals, Presenting a nice Lockheed C-130E flight from PAFA Fairbanks International Airport located three miles southwest of the central business district of Fairbanks, Alaska to CYDA Dawson City Airport located 8 nautical miles east of Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. CYDA Dawson City airport is TOTALLY impossible to land UNLESS all of you tell me that Microsoft built that airport in wrong way for FSX. Airborne on climb to FL190 after my first Captain Sims C-130 take off from PAFA runway 02L for my first payware C-130 flight Still climbing Now cruising at FL190 Beautiful three color tone winter sky Here is my new office!! (yeah four red lights in overhead panel is making me nervous) On final runway approach to runway 03 for SECOND attempt to land on that airport which turns out to be totally impossible to land on EITHER side of runway!! Yeah little dive is required to make successful landing on that extremely difficult airport Seconds before touchdown TOUCHDOWN Braking down (good thing that C-130 has outstanding extremely short runway performance since I had landed in middle of runway) Parked with marvelous view of winter sky Thank you for viewing. Stay tuned for next exciting flight. Regards, Aharon

Pugilist2 and John F, Thanks for your kind words. Regards, Aharon
  4. Shalom and greetings, I know that there are many liveries of C-130s and L100s in Avsim, Flightsim, and Captain Sim repaint download center. Would any of you know where I can find MORE liveries in other websites, please? I know it is CENTURY OLD question but I am curious to know if anybody has better luck locating Nathan Phillips' liveries particularly First Air and Pacific Western liveries? Thanks, Aharon

    Air Canada Vac

The internet site provider screwed up leaving VAC in dark so VAC switched to new internet site provider and is STILL in progress of resetting the site up. At this moment, VAC is doing "soft opening" test now. I do not know what soft opening test means. It will be full operation in few days. Regards, Aharon
  6. Shalom and greetings all my pals, Presenting a darn pretty New Year Day flight from PAUN Unalakleet Airport located one nautical mile north of the central business district of Unalakleet, Alaska to PAOM Nome Airport located two nautical miles west of the central business district of Nome, Alaska. Boarding the plane in sub zero freezing weather on New Year Day Sitting in captain seat doing pre-flight check list while cockpit window shows the view of truck belonging to Jim Tweto that a new rookie Era airline pilot accidentallly broke the driver door by opening it in powerful winds that damaged the door You can see Jim Tweto's private GA planes!! Taxiing to short of runway 32 Holding short of runway 32 doing final checklist and making sure there are no polar bears on runway. You can see green Era airline terminal building and the famous car with damaged driver door Backtracking on runway 32 for take off Airborne on climb to 10,000 ft with background view of shore of Unalakleet Beautiful winter sun view with same background view of same shore and waters of Norton Sound Cruising at 10,000 ft across waters of Norton Sound Flying through clouds at 10,000 ft can be fun Descending through more clouds Check out my office More clouds to descend through Seconds before touchdown on runway 27 TOUCHDOWN Braking down Backtracking is completed as the plane taxied toward gate Nice tail and winter sun Arrived at gate to unload cargo and satisfied passengers Thank you for viewing and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU. Stay tuned for next flight! Regards, Aharon
  7. Shalom and greetings all my pals, Is there anyone here who is expert in QualityWings BAE 146 Collection for FSX, please? Do any of you know where I can find crisp sharp, high quality, and superb Jazz Air, Nova Air, and First Air liveries for QualityWings BAE 146 Collection for FSX, please? Thanks, Aharon
  8. I dunno That is what it said on this website (they call it right now Latest 7th Gen. Skylark Intel® Core™ i7 processor at 3.20 mhz instead of Latest 6th Gen. Skylark Intel® Core™ i7 processor at 3.20 mhz last year) https://us.msi.com/Laptop/GE62VR-APACHE-PRO-7th-Gen-GTX-1060.html#hero-overview That is what I did I avoid affinity mask stuff and I already am using famous highmemfix=1 trick and I do not mess up any tweaks in fsx.cfg in order to engage in silly fancy fps envy competition or show off. I set it to 60 fps limit to get most clear of ground textures from FL350 but not good enough (under plane is sharp but looking at left ot right side does not show sharp ground textures. If you say 60 fps is too high, then please tell me what number you would suggest. Meanwhile I will try all your other suggested tricks for crisp sharp ground textures. Meanwhile I do not use shadow option as this option makes AI traffic invisible. Deactivating shadow option makes AI traffic visible. I will figure out how to deactivate hyper-threading stuff. I actually can identify names of streets, highways, roads, buildings, etc etc from FL350 🙂 Many thanks for your kindness in giving me more suggestions and tips that I will try out. Regards, Aharon
  9. no let me look around Avsim and try to find it and read it. Thanks Did not know Avsim has guide for that. I am using SAME settings for FSX in both 6 year old laptop and much newer laptop whose configurations are already described. If the aging laptop's FSX produces crisp sharp ground textures from FL350, I should expect SAME or better performance from much newer and more powerful laptop using SAME default settings of FSX as the old laptop. I am guessing I am NOT or my laptop is NOT utilizing or Windows 10 is NOT utilizing FSX properly to get crisp sharp ground textures. Maybe I am not properly utilizing the newer laptop's too many functions and tech glitzes?????? Regards, Aharon
  10. Thanks for good holiday wishes, Jim I never use weather add ons as I avoid them because they always treat my planes as rag dolls tossing them around. My current one year old laptop does not have any weather add ons or does not have REX gimmick or Active Sky gimmick or any weather addon stuff. I use FSX default weather setting at what I think is called fair weather. Should I change to no weather setting in FSX default if you think fair weather is contributing factor for FSX freeze? If you want me to disable dll.xml, where can I find it (do I use FSX folder or Windows 10 folder to find it?) and how do I disable it? Thanks, Aharon
  11. Thanks for being kind enough to recreate the PABR to PASC route and glad to hear that you had no problem with that route but had FUN experiencing challenge trying to land on PASC airport. Arctic flights are ALWAYS SCARY as gauges and GPS always go berserk and never work in Arctic Circle due to strong magnetic from North Pole. Yes yes yes yes That is what makes Arctic flying PURE FUN which is why I like to fly to PASC or PABR in winters. Well I have been using CalClassics C-46s for years without problem but basing on your advice, I decided to doublecheck and verify the textures of props to be sure it is compatible with FSX SP2 and I have discovered that the textures for propellers in my C-46 are already compatible and already fully updated for use of FSX SP2. Thanks for good warning and tip. It is great idea to doublecheck to be safe and to be sure. Once again, thanks for your kindness to take time off your busy schedule to test that particular Arctic route. I am going to try my luck again this same route and if it does not work, I am guessing that FSX is telling me that PABR to PASC is off limit to me. LOL I flew 4 more flights in other parts of the world without problems. Happy Chanukah and Merry Christmas to you. Regards, Aharon
  12. Ha ha ha ha @Jim Young and @charliearon Thanks to both of you for kind answers. I flew 3 flights in other parts of the world after that episode and everything was fine meaning there is SOMETHING wrong with the fight path along from PABR to PASC or FSX is trying to tell me it does not want subzero Arctic weather flights?? Regards, Aharon
  13. Thanks, Jim and good to hear from you. Sorry if my previous post was not clear enough for you or anyone. What I mean is that during that particular flight PABR to PASC, it froze and I restarted the saved flight, and minutes later, FSX froze again and I restarted the saved flight, and minutes later, FSX froze again and I restarted the saved flight, and minutes later, FSX froze again there therefore marking it third time for same route. Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with northern border shore of Alaska? Next, I tested a flight out of Greenland to Iceland and it seemed to be fine. Regards, Aharon
