August 24, 200421 yr Hi guys,Wondering if you have infomation on this subject.....My friend went on holiday to costa brava, {Outbound}Date:07/08/04Departed:Manchester(MAN)Time:06:00amArrived:Gorona(GRO)Time:N/AFlight no:MYT 161{Inbound}Date:21/08/04Departed:Gorona (GRO)Time:N/AFlight no:MYT161(i have three conclusions)1)By default they would normally use a MYT a/c(obviously), 757's usually, But for theses flight they chartered a Finnair A320/757(Dont know which one,hes not well up on aviation).My first instincts are that obviously MYT as chartered Finnair for these flights. I no MYT are phasing their boeings out this fall, and many of their 757's are producing delays upon delays, so i thought the a/c they was suppose to be using might of been under maintainence.Or they might of just chartered Finnair because its the busiest part of the season.2)I also thought if MYT didnt ask for Finnair to charter, Finnair are just flying their normal summer routing...maybe HSK-MAN-GRO(via MAN), then MYT are using Fnnair just for their flights, MYT being the tour operator, a sort on comprimise between the two company's.3)Its the start of the demise for My Travel PLC?Hope you guys could shead some lights on this situationScott WaterworthManchester Ringway Itnl, UK.
